Comments Thread For: Mora Gives Vera No Shot, Tabs Chavez Jr. By KO

Former champion Sergio Mora (24-3-2, 7KOs) lost two very close decisions to Brian Vera (23-6, 14KOs) in the last three years. On September 7th at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, Vera will face former middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (46-1-1, 32KOs) at the super middleweight limit of 168-pounds.

Chavez returns for the first time since suffering his first career defeat at the hands of Sergio Martinez last September in Las Vegas. In January, Vera defeated another former champ when he knocked out Sergei Dzinziruk.
At the end of the day, Mora expects Vera to bring the fight to Chavez, but he also expects Chavez to win by knockout in impressive fashion.

I agree with him, even if it's not a body shot, I see Chavez walking through Vera.

they could've asked anyone the same question about vera an would've gotten the same answer

it's incredible how vera still has a decent buzz going for him even though it's over 5 years ago since his last big win (andy lee)...the guy can't box for ****

chavez has a chin and don't forget golovkin doesn't fight like Martinez who moves around a lot and Martinez is fast,or was,he would throw that jab very fast, right and move, golovkin doesn't fight like that,he likes stand more in front of opponent and if he does that with chavez I actually think chavez can ko him,i mean why not,he'll have that punchers chance against somebody who will be there to get hit too, unlike Martinez. I give chavez a good chance of winning,
