We've been getting some good heavyweight match ups this year, with more coming up:

      Povetkin-Klitschko
      Haye-Fury
      Pulev-Thompson
      Mitchell-Arreola

And now that Denis Boytsov has signed with Sauerland, he'll be in some meaningful matchups.

Pulev has nowhere near the power price has but he's way more durable and relaxed and probably has the second best jab in the division-third at worst. This goes to a decision I think. I have to favor the younger guy but it's anybody's to win. I'd be nauseous if Thompson got a third title shot though. He's not doing anything to Wlad again. It'd be totally pointless. He's got no answers for what Wlad brings to the table. None. If Pulev wins we could at least see a 6'4+ guy who might be able to jab with Wlad and to me that's more interesting than these guys that think they can swarm him without turning into a pretzel.

Exactly the reason why I won't make a prediction so early. I think Thompson is a step up for Pulev, having said that Pulev does have power and I don't think he'll gas after 3 rounds. It's an interesting match up but I'll be surprised if it gets made, I'm expecting Thompson to wait for the next Klit sweepstakes, probably face Vitali at some stage if Vitali keeps a hold of the title.

Would be hilarious if Thompson got a third shot at Wlad.

Not really, we already know the outcome.

Pulev isn't huge puncher so don't see him knocking Tony out but he should win comfortable decision

If Pulev pretends to be Wladimir Klitschko, just like David Price did, he will get drilled. I see Thompson giving Pulev a lesson. I hope I am wrong, but I can hardly see Pulev knocking Thompson out. He could win on points, but it would be very close in my opinion.

To beat Thompson you first need an amazing brain. If Pulev does it, I would consider him as a top 5 for sure.
