Comments Thread For: Frank Warren Breaks Down Chisora vs. Scott Showdown

NOTHING grips fight fans more than genuine even-money match-ups.

Factor heavyweights into the equation and the appeal magnifies several fold.

So tonight’s clash at Wembley between Dereck Chisora and Malik Scott promises to be a real belter.

The big lads have the greatest propensity for delivering fireworks and the Britain versus USA angle brings added sparkle.

Bookmakers cannot split the pair, with the visitor, who hails from the great fight city of Philadelphia, yet to lose in a 36-fight pro career that dates back to November 2000.

Trained by Hall of Famer Jesse Reid — who has 23 world champions on his CV — 6ft 4in Scott, 32, was a US amateur champ who lost only three of 73 amateur bouts.

He has since been avoided like a leper since joining the paid code.

A personable, God-fearing character outside the ropes, the Yank initially learned his craft as sparring partner for former world heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis.

He is looking lean and honed and brings a reputation as a highly-skilled, quick and agile all-rounder, blessed with a superb jab. [Click Here To Read More]

No way is Scott looking "lean and honed". I'm a regular office worker and have less of a gut!

Delboy at his best pushed Vitali and Haye. And beat Helenius. He'd crucify someone like Price.

I expect Chisora to do well tonight.

Scott always looks like that & is in good shape. This is a really tough fight to call. Its up to chisora to dictate the pace or scott will pick him apart if he sits back & boxes...

He weighed like 232 yesterday, Im pretty sure he weighed in the low 220's against Glazkov. Just a note.

Certainly possible, maybe he put weight on to put more power on his punches (Tony Thompson reckons a bit of blubber helps him), the extra weight might help in the clinch too.
