People still want to see it and will pay to see it and ESPN will cover it, etc.
You missed the point of irrelevance I was referring to. You're still thinking I'm talking about popularity. I'm not. It's about the relevance of leverage Pac has at the table. He doesn't have any and still thinks it's 2009-2010.

I doubt it would break 1.5 at this point. Even casuals that hardly watch boxing seen Pac get KO'ed. They would bash Floyd for taking such a fight at this point and probably not pay for it. Golden Boy has built Alvarez up as the NEW super fight. So much so that nay sayers said Floyd would duck him and was scared of him etc.

By fighting in the 2nd biggest fight of the past decade? He sure is!

By the way the biggest fight of the past decade also included him.

            • Here's the thing about the Floyd/Pac fight, it was never about blood tests, weight, gloves, ring size, location, blah blah blah. It was all about one man: Bob Arum. Floyd never wanted to put money in Bob Arum's pocket. Floyd felt like a whore with Bob Arum and having a fight with Pac made Floyd feel like a whore again.

Floyd keeps talking about how Pac had to take the test blah blah blah but you all have to remember that Floyd also spoke about how Pac had to leave Bob for the fight to happen.

BTW, is Mayweather Promotions even a real promotional company like Golden Boy or Top Rank?

hmm...so it was never about blood tests. he and his fans tricked everyone for years that it was. so now you're saying it's really about bob arum. i see.

why tf didn't he say so?

                • I didn't think floyd needed anymore excuses but this one trumps them all! Fight will never happen, floyd just using manny again to hype the canelo fight

                  • Mayweather is the opposite of the godfather. He keeps making Pacquiao offers that Pacquiao can't accept. Mayweather never wanted to fight Pacquiao and he still wants nothing to do with sharing a ring with Pacquiao for any amount of money. His "offers" are as phony as a three dollar bill. Please, Canelo, knock this nasty a--hole out.
