Doubt it because nobody really knows Canelo and everyone else on the undercard. Canelo may be a big name in Mexico but he isn't Oscar. I can definitely see 1.5+ million buys though.

With just Floyd and Canelo, I doubted this card, but it's possible now.

Matthysse and garcia aren't big enough to make that much of a difference, the fans that tune in to watch them would have most likely bought this fight without them, Canelo has never headlined a PPV either. Me, I'm expecting 1.7M-ish to be honest.

I'm enjoying the hurt being expressed in the form of hate...its comical!!

can't wait till Sept 15th....not so much with Floyd because most dudes expect him to leave the ring still with his perfect record and a few more belts....but Danny is supposed to get trucked...I have a feeling he'll get called LUCKY once again instead of the 140 pound King!!

True, but now you have a Rican and an Argentinian fan base that were iffy before, but now it's a lock. And if they really confirm the Lara vs Trout fight, you'll have the Cuban and New Mexico fan base.

It may not be a lot, but I'm pretty sure Showtime and GBP will appreciate any new fans they can get.

Did you not watch the press tour? Canelo was huge in every city.

A lot of people on boxing forums are saying that fight won't break Oscar's Floyd record, but let me tell you this don't underestimate the power of the casual fan, and the truth is that Canelo has huge draw power, I can tell you that even fans who doesn't follow box will buy this, because Canelo has a lot of mexican people standing behind him.

All I gotta say is "Don't be surprised if this thing breaks the record", I'm not saying it will, but giving the reception the promotion has had plus the add of Garcia vs Matthysse to a more hardcore boxing fan, this thing has the spark to be a record breaking event, regards.

I got Floyd by UD and Matthysse by KO.
