Richard Schaefer answering question on Al Haymons behalf just confirms what I already knew... Al Haymon is running Golden Boy Promotions.
To Answer Rey*'s question, I have also felt that Haymon comes dangerously close to violating the Muhammad Ali act for quite awhile but he has carefully/masterfully avoided any suspensions and or charges by claiming to be just an Advisor. HBO got fed up with Haymons antics and now the public is starting to notice and this is why we are seeing this matchup. Don't get me wrong Danny Garcia Vs Lucas Matthysse will be a good fight, but don't be fooled, this is just Al Haymon throwing us a bone to pick up the PPV sales for his Real Star Floyd Mayweather. After this we can fully expect for Al Haymon to arrange a 8 Round Fight for Gary Russell Jr or setup a ridiculous fight where Adrien Broner battles Shane Mosley for the Pound for Pound Title and we can all watch the Showtime Broadcasters try and justify it like they did with Malignaggi.
I hate to say it but it might be time to Regulate Boxing and take all these Shady Figures like Haymon out of the Sport.
