    JD Chapman coming back!

    Hey guys,
will he contend and beat a top ten guy or is he just a guy with an inflated record?

says hes back later this year.

Never mind the record, any top 50 HW would beat him easily.

Never heard of him and haven't really heard of anyone on his record apart from a few non durable journeyman, brief look and I can't find any fight footage.

      Seems like another David Rodriguez

I remember Chapman being hyped 5 years ago due to his undefeated, but padded, record. It was weird that he all of a sudden stopped fighting in '08 when it seemed like he had a promising career - padded record or not.

Does anyone know why he took a 5 + year hiatus away from boxing? Did he do a prison stint?

He was terrified of Tye Fields who everyone wanted him to fight so he quit.

And now that Tye Fields is retired, Chapman is back - makes perfect sense...
