Trout-Lara though.... man good fight but I don't really see it being appealing at ALL to help sell the fight. Both are defensive and the style matchup is abysmal... meaningful but on paper set to be boring.

Yeah maybe, but when u consider that its the 3rd billing on this card, that's still awesome. GBP is making a statement to all other promoters: "The takeover is complete, we now run this sh__ ! "

Whatever though, I got multiple texts / twitter notifications from my hardcore / casual boxing fans alike about this card before and def after this announcement.... I think him streaming alone in his room will be fine.

Hell yea I LOVE that fight, but I dont think goldenboy will put it on this card though. Last I read I think they were talking about a october/november date for that fight

It probably still will be, It's only of those things where they don't raise the price because say it goes up 10$ more a person, if you lose x buyers it doesn't even out... I still would like to see broner-maidana on it though... I honestly think it could compete with oscar-floyd with that added.... Broner while hasn't met his hype level sure knows how to sell a fight.... one of the highest watched fights was Broner-Paulie and lets be real going in that wasn't supposed to be a great fight. Broner-Floyd-Angel all hyping the same fight? Numbers would be absurd... just imagine that.

Edit: On a semi funny note.... knowing how Floyd Broner and Danny all come to the ring... it'd be like watching the BET awards too... Floyd hyping Gucci, Broner Versace, and Danny... leather limited.

I was just thinking about if they put Broner- Maidana on it that would be an insane card and a great way to get Broner and other fighters shown to more casual fans even though Broner already has a decent following from WSHH

This is an amazing card!!!!!!! Golden Boy is making a statement with card. They are saying we have the talent and we have the superstars and we're not afraid to put them in the ring together. GB still protects fighters at times but if the public is begging for it, they will do their best to make the fight.

All these guys are Al Haymon fighters except Canelo. How did he rise to power like this?
