  • Comments Thread For: Nonito Donaire is Pumped and Ready To Fight

Although his attention right now is focused on his newborn son Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire will be ready to return to the ring sometime in late October or early November. In a conversation with BoxingScene.com/Manila Standard, Donaire said looking after his first child and wife Rachel is “incredible. They are both doing fine and the baby is excellent.”

Donaire, the 2012 “Fighter of the Year” and former WBO and Ring Magazine super bantamweight champion who lost his title in stunning loss to former Cuban two-time Olympic gold medalist Guillermo Rigondeaux at the Radio City Music Hall in New York last April 13 said “right now my attention is the baby.”

However, he added, if his manager Cameron Dunkin and Top Rank Promotions have an upcoming fight lined up no matter who the opponent is, “just let me know and I’ll be ready to go.” [Click Here To Read More]

Hey boxingscene, how come I've seen like 10+ articles about Nonito since the Rigo fight, but only 2-ish articles about Rigo?

You want an article about Rigo, here you go, HBO doesn't want him, he doesn't want to make himself flexible, 122 fighters don't want to fight him, the end.

Because people would much rather drink an energy drink than to take a sleeping pill.

First, I'm not Filipino. 2nd, I'd prefer watching Nonito fight against any opponent 100x more than watching Rigo despite him being schooled for 12 rds. If entertainment pays the bill, Rigo shouldn't be offered more than minimum wage salary for his fights.

Because you are the only guys who prefer to see 2 class boxers and lossers instead of a champion. This excuse is more ****** every day, that only you guys and arum believe. Continue with your head inside the earth for not see the truth because is not good for your preferred fisghter probably to loose again with Rigo. You want to see a looser I want to see the best.
About HBO is all about Arum. Why HBO wanted to show Rigo so many times before he finished Nonito? And now he won they didn't wanted?. It seems to me that Arum is making this turbulence against Rigo

The sad thing is Rigondeaux toyed with the highest quality opponent he's ever going to fight. There is no one to test him now. Btw all those K.O's that Donaire has been getting that made him an HBO favorite... Rigondeaux would have K.O'd them as well.
