Khan would be a nightmare for Matthysse

A couple things here:
First, a lot of people do not feel as if Matthyse lost to Alexander and Judah. In fact, in both cases, he scored knockdowns and was widely viewed by unofficial ringside scorers as the winner.
Regardless of that, however, it's irrelevant, as Matthyse is no longer the same fighter who fought in those fights. That Matthyse was a younger, less established prospect at the time and not well educated enough about the way things work at the top level of this sport. He now knows that you can't leave important results in the hands of shady (or incompetent) ass judges. He no longer assumes that he's winning simply because he's the effective aggressor and the one landing the far more significant punches.
No, Lucas Matthyse now knows that the only way to truly ensure a victory, if you are not a well connected fighter, is to take the decision out of the judges (or promoters) hands.
That said, Matthyse is now viewed as a top prospect, and a highly marketable fighter, so the judges (or promoters) undoubtedly view him as a much more valuable commodity, and will not necessarily want to see him lose.
Either way, Kahn wouldn't make it the distance against Matthyse, and neither will Danny Garcia.
So, any promoter looking to pull some strings in those potential fights may as well save his resources for something more realistic.

I don't agree at all. I think it is just the opposite and Lucas would be Khan's worst nightmare. Khan has a well proven lack of ability to take hard punches to the head and Lucas is the best puncher of them all. Matthysse did not lose to Judah or Alexander on my score card. He clearly beat both of them and he is much better now then he was then. Lucas has a wide variety of hard fast punches with both hands that come from different angles. He is always on the attack with a ton of hard punches and he always gets the KO. Alexander has a great chin and has only been knocked down once and that was by Matthysse. Khan has gone down hill to the point that he has to get off the floor to barely beat a mediocre fighter like Diaz.I think Matthysse would KO Khan very early in the fight and Golden Boy will keep Khan away from Lucas. I wonder who Peterson would pick to win a Khan-Matthysse fight.Comment

Khan got dropped and buzzed against Diaz in his last fight. That's right Diaz who fought at lightweight the majority of his career. Khan would have success for maybe two rounds where Lucas was figuring him out. After that Lucas would start blasting away to a KO. People undervalue Lucas' ability to close off the ring and set traps as well.Comment
