    The August 23 super featherweight title fight between Argenis Mendez and Arash Usmanee is on the move.

    The bout was originally targeted to take place in Las Vegas as a potential independent pay-per-view, It will now be staged at the Turning Stone Casino in Verona, New York, serving as a revised season-finale on ESPN2 Friday Night Fights.

    News of the move first broke on ESPN.com, suggesting a leak from an inside source considering that the participants weren’t even aware of the confirmed change in locations until reading about it online.

    Good fight. Both are talented fighters, I give Mendez the edge in this fight but ill be rooting for Usmanee.

      Mendez has the tools to be great but he goes unnoticed. Mendez needs more exposure...bigger fights. His time is now.

        I'm happy to see my fellow albertan(canadian province we both were born in)getting another good fight. He was robbed against the cuban in another FNF episode... Good luck to him. Im sure the edmonton & calgary scene will be watching

          He wasn't born in Alberta. He moved to Alberta in the 90's. I know he trained real close to where I live in Montreal....dunno if he's still training there tho.

            I'm glad Usmanee is getting the fight and not the guy he was robbed against, Barthelemy. Everyone knows Usmanee won the fight and deserves the shot.
