I think Garcia is too methodical, better boxer and I'm more than certain he will score at least one or two knock downs to win a comfortable U.D.

The Martinez fight is garbage in my opinion, it's whatever though.
Gamboa's a little too small to be a force at 135, in my opinion; but I think Yuri's looked bad in his last couple of fights for at least a couple of reasons. One, he had that fifteen month layoff leading up to the Farenas fight. Two, he lacks a suitable trainer.

Gamboa has been using his father as his coach since his comeback. It's not working out. Should a fight with Garcia be signed, Yuri better bring in someone like Pedro Luis Diaz, or his old coach Ismael Salas. A motivated Gamboa, with the proper trainer, is a dangerous man.

May be that, but he's been known to get reckless before, but like Marquez he recovers very well. His speed, power and explosiveness will always make him dangerous, but I'm sure you remember the Barros fight in which he kept lunging in...I see Garcia's style ultimately forcing him to do that and Garcia countering successfully. Or maybe Gamboa will start rabbit punching, hitting after the break which may take Garcia out of his game, no different from what Maidana and Matthysse do. A lot can happen but it's an intriguing fight, the winner automatically goes into my Top 10.

        Garcia KO's Rocky Martinez

Garcia gives Gamboa his first loss and more likely by KO

Garcia is a great counter puncher with Power and means to use it.

He is not in there to just win or play ballerina

You just described a very plausible scenario. Gamboa can get very physical at the drop of a hat. He didn't just outbox Salido; he out-brawled him, too. I think Yuri will bring some nastiness into a fight with Garcia. Mikey has serious power, but he has never been tagged by someone that hits as hard as Gamboa. As fast as Yuri is, I can see that happening several times. Thinking that this fight might actually happen has me pumped.

              I thought it was Mikey.

              I agree he beats Gamboa.

Gamboa is so talented and physically gifted that I would favor him over almost everyone, but a patient, world class counterpuncher like Garcia is a nightmare matchup for him imo. Gamboa is not the most fluid fighter, and he has no real offensive polish.

Gamboa's suspect chin and ability to be countered rather easily makes this almost a gimme for Garcia. TR wouldn't put one of their rising stars in with a real challenge from another promo company. Gamboa will get lulled to sleep, start to fight recklessly and with that hands down bs and then get sparked

Yuri hasn't looked impressive in his last two fights, and Mikey is looking like a beast. I think we'll be seeing the "Ciclon" of old if this fight happens. It's a terrific match-up. Bring it.
i would like gamboa to take out broner....if broner ducks maidana
