Froch's got a big mouth but I would tune in to all his fights. He fights with pride and is out to get you. Ward is near impossible to beat...but I tune out. Winning with defense is not crowd pleasing.

Kind of a irrelevant question but If you want me to mention some who have lossed and bring entertainment?
      Manny Pacquiao, Brandon Rios...

The reason Adrien Broner is earning alot is because of his brash big mouth style that is entertainment, running the mouth off to sell himself which is working.
manny and rios have lost a 5 times in 85 plus combined fights. thats not losing.

I think to have an honest discussion you have to be real about what the TS is asking. He's not asking about a guy who has lost once, twice or a few times.

take there records and flip them-rios is 1-31 and manny is 5-53-2 or whatever. They both fight the exact same way. You think they are in the Macau headline fight, let alone on HBO?

Even the guys who become perennial gatekeepers-Gatti, Mayorga, Baldo, Berto etc all have won far more than they have lost.

The question should be: do you risk losing as the price for entertaining? Pacquiao's last fight was a perfect example. Was Pacquiao trying to win or to entertain? And it cost him!

Respectfully, I like the TS question the way it is. I understand your point though. IMO, Manny was trying to win and he got caught because he made a mistake against an opponent trying to win. You never have a non entertaining fight when both guys go all out to win.

By comparison, Manny did same against Josh Clottey but clottey wasn't trying to win. Hence the fight ******.

To win, obviously. Very few do both

              Winning is more important.

I like to think that Boxing is a Sport first, and a Business second. Delusional, I know.

it depends from person to person, the fighter in question has to ask himself wether or not he is a winner. if the answer is yes then go out there to win and take your spot on top.

everyone cant be a winner though which this site is clear evidence of. if you dont have it in you to be great just try to be as entertaining as you can and enjoy your time in the spotlight provided you are fortunate enough to get some.

With all due respect, you're dead wrong. Manny was out to pulverize Marquez, not merely to "win". If you don't see that, you're clued out.

I agree he was trying to win by KO-he tries to win all his fights that way. But the degree to which he was trying to win isn't the main point. It's that when you have 2 guys trying their hardest to win you always get excitement.

                    Hence winning is more important.

Depends on what the boxer is after.

Pacquiao was not out to "win" against Marquez. He wanted to shut up Marquez once and for all. To destroy him. He failed. The earlier "wins" gave him and the fans no satisfaction.
