IDK Mares fights are always surrounded by BS. I think he's a good fighter but either he's fouling like mad with kidney punches, rabbit punching and low blows or the ref stops the fight too early.

come on PDL would have probably lost but the second he starts to make a come back the ref stops the fight the 1st chance. PDL wasn't really hurt and still fighting back.... umm ok

it's like GBP has zero confidence in Mares.

I wouldn't mention this if it happen in one of his fights once or maybe twice but it's become a real trend.

if this fight is a foulfest or stopped early then Mares is most fake champion in the history of boxing. which is a shame because he has talent but it looking like GBP is afraid to let him prove himself.

Before the Ponce fight I thought Featherweight would be too much for Mares. I was sure wrong. I think it is a tough fight but I also think Mares pulls it out. And to those questioning Mares resume just know this his last 7 opponents have all been World Champions and Gonzalez is the 8th straight World Champ he has fought.
