Neither Khan nor Brook can beat Devon. They might as well fight each other.

The Maidana that Khan beat years earlier at 140lbs?

I also don't see how a 140lb fighter, coming off a life and death stuggle with Julio Diaz, moves to 147 and gets a title shot in his first fight but that's boxing.

Oh lord how clueless does that sound? Khan has been operating at world class level for a good 5 years now. Carl Froch got soundly beaten by Ward and got a world title shot in his next fight. It's a perk you get for fighting good competition and being relevant - Brook unfortunately is not at that stage.

Froch got the title shot in his own division, where he was clearly the 2nd best fighter. Khan is coming off a multiple KD stoppage loss and a life and death win over Julio Diaz, and has moved up to 147 to get an immediate title shot...when he's about the 10th best in the divison, at best.

I don't agree with any non-champion switching division and getting a title shot in their first fight.

brook and khan should fight each other, and the loser should retire or just stay in the uk so we don't have to hear about these scrubs again. Julio Diaz had Khan stumbling around the ring like a drunk. And GoldenBoy is obviously putting khan on ice because he has 0 punch resistance and they're waiting for the perfect fight to cash him out. Kell Brook pulled out of 2 title fights last year, thats all we need to know about him.

Khan beat a much better Maidana at 140 then Devon did at 147. Maidana had no trainer for the Devon fight because his trainer got sick (he is dead now) and put on his worst performance of his career vs Devon in an awful fight. Devon Broke the record for Clinches in a televised bout.

Devon's win vs Maidana isn't that great, Maidana is better at 147 now and would put up a much better fight vs Devon in a rematch. (Devon is a terrible match up for Maidana though)

Brook needs to knuckle down and work his way back into contention. Starting by stepping up his level of opposition.

This division stuff is bollox. If you're a world class fighter, you're a world class fighter. Khan got a title shot at 140 in his first fight at the weight and virtually shut out the champion before having a pretty successful career at the weight.

                      Totally agree.

Let me put it another way. Who deserves a welterweight title shot more, someone who has beaten four top 10 jr. welterweights or someone whose only win of any substance is over a high profile welterweight journeyman?
