Comments Thread For: Brook is Gutted Over Khan Landing Alexander Title Shot

KELL BROOK admits he is gutted to see Amir Khan move ahead of him in the world title stakes

Brook returned to the ring after injury on Saturday to claim an eighth-round win over Carson Jones in Hull.

The win catapulted him back into the world title mix, but he is frustrated at Khan leapfrogging him to challenge IBF welterweight champ Devon Alexander.

Brook has seen possible fights with Alexander fall by the wayside on three occasions this year.

Now, after his first outing since October, he sees a Khan-Alexander contest looming in December – and that frustrates him. [Click Here To Read More]

Brook has a point but fighting C class fighters for the past 4 years does not mean he should automatically get one either. Boxing is about money and more money in Khan vs Alex than Brook vs Alex. Broner, Alexander, Guerrero, Maidana and Berto would be great test for him. Damn even Malignaggi,Thurman, Provodnikov, Vargas or Lopez would be interesting to see. I know that some have a fight coming up but Brook needs to step up.

He's also rarely injured and has fought tough competition throughout his career.

Khan is far more deserving than Brook.

I can understand Brook on this one. Khan has been beaten badly on multiple occasions and he has never fought at 147. Brook at least worked his way up the ranks to get a shot. He may have fought weaker opposition but he did it the right way so far. Only the Mayweathers or P4P best should be able to move up and get title shots without fighting in a division. Khan is more about hype than production at this point but he does bring more money and this is a business. If Khan could become more well rounded he could be very good with the speed he possesses. Nonetheless Brook does need to step up and fight a contender though. I have a feeling he may fight Mosley next and that may not be a good idea. He could lose or he could beat an old faded fighter. Either way it is a neutral step and not a forward one.

Truedat. Really is put up or shut up time from Team Brook now. Brook Vs Guerrero seems a nice match-up to me, chance for one to really prove/announce himself on the world scene and chance for the other to bounce back from a loss to the P4P king right back into the title mix.

Brook should fight another fight or 2 against a world class opponents and then look at a big money fight with Khan this time next year assuming Khan beats Alexander, I think he will.

Khan has fought six legitimate top ten jr. welters and beat four of them. Brook has yet to fight a top ten contender at any weight, and it took two tries to get past his first opponent with a pulse.

                  Now who deserves what?

Brook should wait and hope that khan can beat alexander because a khan fight in the uk would be levels above brook vs alexander
