To me the best offensive footwork in the past 20 years though was Ricky Hatton's. So many overlooked it, but he could cut that ring off and be on top of you in the blink on an eye.
Ricky had fast feet but youre going overboard lol.

Name guys in the past 20 years who could cut off the ring faster?

Successful in cutting off the ring and leading with his chin.

His chin has nothing to do with it. That is one of his flaws, but I am talking about cutting off the ring.

This... Anyone could run full speed at a guy face first. But in terms of sheer foot speed I'm sure I dont have to name people...going back to '93...

Guys could cut the ring off better in these last 20 years without the speed and could smother a guy just as quick, without the raw foot speed. In terms of closing the distance there's been guys with amazing foot speed. Hell, just look to more recent with guys like Pac. If he wants to be infront of you he will be...quickly. We shouldnt have to mention guys like Camacho.

Cutting off the ring is just that its not about speed..the speed comes when its time to close the distance and Ricky does have some of the faster feet but not even top 5 in terms of the raw speed and effectiveness....especially the effectiveness lol.

Impossible, did this guy use a baseball bat or something? No way he even fazes 3G with his punches.

Whether he kept his hands up or not is irrelevant to his footwork. Hatton was exceptional at closing distance.

It was a left hook to the liver. He had GG on the ropes and one left hook crumpled GG who didn't expect the shot. He was in agony for about 20 seconds.

Now I don't know if GG can take a body shot from a capable opponent.
