I think GBP were going for the exposure that this fight would get on the Mayweather-Canelo undercard, just imagine all the Latinos who are buying this fight but have never seen Matthyse fought before? Imagine if Matthyse destroys Garcia the same way he did Pederson? Especially the Mexicans would take to him and would want to know more about Matthyse.. Which equals more PPV buys in the future for him.

I know a lot of people on here don't like him but I wait until Dan Rafael confirms these types of things. He talks directly to Schaeffer, Arum, Dibella and etc.

Ben may be credible but he just says sources where as Rafael will say just got off the phone with Schaeffer and the fight is on.

I remember when there were rumors swirling for a few weeks about Mayweather-Ortiz and Ben flat out asked Mayweather if he was fighting Ortiz and he said he didn't know where those rumors were coming from and he didn't have an opponent yet and then a few days later the Mayweather-Ortiz fight was announced.
