Kudos to Schaefer. He's been on a roll. He might as well drop another 2 million and put Guerrero vs. Ortiz on there as well and try to go after Floyd and Oscars PPV record.

It's done and will be officially announced this week. Thompson has good sources, imo.
Sorry if this was already posted. I scrolled down to see if it was and there wasn't anything recent so I went for it.Comment

Should've been a separate event. Lucas would get more recognition for knocking out Garcia a week or two later, rather than playing second fiddle to a Floyd masterclass on the night. Although it would justify PPV for you guys in the states.Comment

I'd rather it not be on PPV. I'm a little mad but at least the fight was made lolComment

Its actually better for these guys being on Floyds undercard. A slugfest with 1.5 to 2 million eyes watching you. And its not just the die hards as well but actually casuel fans too. They could actually steal the show. Garcia vs Matthysse would never get this kind of media exposure on its own. Haymon is the man and the guy knows how to make stars.Comment

You are taking a huge leap by assuming that Matthysse will KO Garcia. You and all the other Matthysse fans must have forgotten that Matthysse lost to Zab Judah and Alexander. You can talk about how controversial the fights were all you want, but you can't change the fact that he lost to a current champion and a washed-up former champion. If Matthysse was the beast that you and all the other bandwaggoners seem to think, he would have knocked out both Judah and Alexander. Matthysse may beat Garcia, but if so, it will most likely be by a split decision or a narrow unaminous decision. My prediction is Garcia by majority decision.Comment
