Murray did suggest that the only way to stop Golovkin was with a baseball bat, so it is possible that he doesn't fancy taking a shot at Golovkin. Having said that he does seem tough and crazy enough to fight anyone. I hadn't heard that Golovkin wanted to fight Murray in the UK, all I had read was they wanted to fight Murray in the States because it was an HBO date in November. Presumably HBO want that fight to take place in the States. Golovkin does seem to want to fight in September as well though.

Am sure if Murray got offer a fight with GGG he would take it, whether its in the UK or USA, he went to Germany and Argentina and seems like a straight up guy. And am sure he would have had offers coming in for him after his performance against Martinez, so it's all about looking at all the offers if any offers are in.
They said they're open to fighting him in the UK, they can't make him on offer there. I don't know of any K2 promoted shows in the UK, I doubt they're even licensed. It's basically saying, I'm willing to bring my title to your hometown, make me an offer. Won't even take that much, he pretty much gave purse parity to Macklin.

The most important part of the deal would be whether HBO would be willing to air it and how much would they pay for an overseas fight. (which is usually substantially less) Presumably K2 would be in a better position to do this.
