for Groves' sake he should have gone after Stiegletz to get some more world class level experience before taking on Froch, the whole matchup feels a bit premature. Also, I'm slightly disappointed Froch didn't go after Stevenson, that was his mandatory at 168 and he vacated the title to fight Kessler, now Stevenson's a world champion but you'd still rather fight Groves? Not calling it a duck because there's probably a lot more money in the Groves fight domestically but still...

Groves is a good technical fighter and should give Froch all he can handle in a terrific matchup. Hard to pick the winner as Froch is getting long in the tooth and looked every bit his age at the end of that Kessler fight. Groves is an underrated fighter and I wonder if Groves has the Speed and Power to keep Froch at bay?

Eh Froch has continuously said he'd prefer to fight a bigger name than Groves. With regards to Stevenson, it was him who moved up in weight. He was next in line for the IBF, Froch didn't vacate nothing.

A good jab? Power? he throws good combinations at times too.

Call me crazy but Groves can easily outbox him.. Easily as long as he doesn't stand there and trade.
They're all supposed to beat Froch on paper. It just doesn't work like that in the ring.

Froch said he was breaking his fitness records in the run up to Kessler II.

The irony of a Sergio Martinez fan saying, "Froch is overrated to [the] extreme," is probably lost on most people.

Groves has the skills to beat Froch, I have no doubt. What I doubt is whether he has the endurance to deal with Frochs messy style and onslaught. If so, he beats Froch.

                Depends really.

We've seen Groves hurt a few a times albeit against pretty decent punchers. But I'd imagine if Froch really put it on him I'd be surprised if Groves could take it. If he can. He could win this.

He has good foot movement, pretty good reflexes, and his handspeed is okay... But he's a smarter and tougher fighter than 95% of fighters today and that is what matters.

I've seen Froch on Sky last night -- he's an outstandingly smart guy... As compared with Ward he has a problem: he's a fighter, not a handler... Instead, Ward is a handler, not a fighter...

                      Agreed.
And lately he developed a killer jab -- which unfortunately cannot work against Ward...
