Listen, Floyd wants no part of Pacquiao. That tells me all I need to know. Floyd cannot take that straight left like Marquez.

Floyd doesnt have angles now? Ha ha.
The bottom line is that 99 percent of the time, IQ & Defense trumps everything and Floyd is one of thee best if not thee best in history at those 2 things. Thats not even inlcuding the fact that he can match Pac's speed, has better timing, and is the bigger/longer man.
How does Pac beating a dead Oscar prove that he would beat Floyd?
The TS talks about how Floyd fought against Oscar but youre talking about a guy in his 1st fight at 154 who I think was scared of the weight. He was truly a 140 pound fighter at that time while Oscar had been to 160 and just decapitated Mayorga. At the same time you have his dad telling him not to get caught by Oscar's hook because it will knock you out. Floyd was super cautious and worried about that weight. If you judge him vs Pac based off that then you are crazy.
Thats not even including the fact that Oscar is much taller than Pac with a good jab.
Someone said the Floyd from the previous few fights wouldve lost to Pac and even Ghost? No way in hell. That Floyd wouldve walked Ghost down and stopped him. Ghost was saved by Sr. coming back. Sr is great for Floyd and will do him wonders the rest of his career but Ghost is the one fight that Floyd wouldve been better with his recent walk down style

The whole thrill of the Mayweather vs Pacquiao fight was Mayweather being undefeated and unbeatable, while Pacquiao was the Rocky aka underdog who would go through hell to gets wins and kos.
The Pacquiao now cant take those big shots as much anymore like he took for Cotto and thatll bring one of his advantages (punch resistance/chin) down against Mayweather's straight right / hooks.
Only shot Pacquiao has which is he always hurts everyone/ anyone he fights whether win/or lose.
Also, the Pacquiao/Mayweather fight might also go like the Clottey fight. pacquiao could not get to him at all and got frustrated a lil by throwing that donkey kong double punch. Only difference is Mayweather will come to box

So people aren't allowed to use oscar to judge pac and floyd, however they are allowed to use marquez as the medium that makes no sense what's so ever.
Do you really think Floyd coldnt make 140? He couldve easily made it. He didnt want to. Again, at that time there were talks of big fights at 154 so he wanted to stay as big as possible. He didnt wanna go to 145 and then fight a huge JMW the next fight.
2nd, I never said anything about using JMM to judge Floyd-Pac. Triangle theories dont work but you can make similar opinions on style. Floyd killed JMM because he could do everything JMM can do while also being bigger, faster, stronger. Pac on the other hand is nothing at all like Oscar so it makes no sense

Manny's weakness is a fighter with a good straight lead/counter right...
Jmm and morales both had that, and thats why they have wins over him
Barrera-left hooker
diaz- plodder
hatton-mauler
oscar- left hooker
Cotto- left hooker
margarito-mauler
clottey-plodder
shane- left hooker
bradley- volume and workrate type guy....
Floyd has the best lead/counter right in the game...
He would have caused manny alot of problems...
Manny's only way would be workrate, volume, power but hard for me to see him going 12 rounds and winning a decision...

pretty good analysis....I agree with most of the thread starters posts. Mayweather has went back to using the lateral movement he utilized when he fought at 130-140...as he moved up in weight he has either fought in straight lines. Floyd isnt fighting that way with his dad in the corner. He fought in lines to land his favorite punches as he mentioned and slipped and slided niftly on the inside after he missed or landed. Pacquaio is a bit sloppy and predictable, is a sucker for mayweather's best punch, the right hand....and doesnt have a plan B. he depends on his physical attributes to overwhelm fighters....when natural talent and athleticism is equal, things like technique, adaptabily and smarts come into play. Mayeather has the edge in all those areas. Unless he lands a one punch kayo...i dont see manny winning a decision or getting a stoppage cause when the fight wears on Mayweather gets better and Pacquaio stays the same or gets less active. Mayweather beats Manny.
Great anyalsis by the thread starter

Bottom line is Floyd got scared. Fans would have stopped fantasizing and stopped making threads like this if he had the balls to take on an easy fight for $150 million, according to uncle Roger. Pacman scared the hell out of him.
