Jose 'Chepo' Reynoso, manager and trainer of WBC/WBA junior middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (42-0-1, 30KOs), says his boxer entered training camp at Big Bear weighing 165-pounds. They have about two montsh to lose 13-pounds for the contracted weight of 152-pounds against Floyd Mayweather Jr. (44-0, 26KOs), taking place on September 14th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Reynoso says there will be multiple sparring partners and Canelo would reach 130-rounds by the time of the fight. There is a nutritionist, someone in charge of the food, and several other staffers brought in for the biggest camp of Canelo's career.

Pretty good shape. I know welterweights who enter their training camps at 165.

13 pounds in two months isn't that hard for a fighter. If he would have come in at 175-180, then I would have worried.

so mayweather, you say canelo asked for 152
dont you think its bc you wouldnt have fought him at 154, so hype-pethetically
152 lb catchweight was bc of a decision you made

            ya get it now?

personally, your a fool. your prob gna win, but your gna win the same way at 152 as you would at 154.. only difference is, you made yourself look like a cervix & the mons pubis & the labia minora & the uterus, the fallopian tubes, the ovaries, the pubic symphasis, estrogen & progesterone. you my friend is what the fck is wrong w the sport we love the most

If he didn't agree to the catch weight there would be not fight, it would be another Mayweather vs Pac story were both are too scared to fight. Marquez is another fighter that is wiiling to sacrifice a lot to make fights happen.

Did you see Alvarez's video interview stating otherwise?
