Any chance Rigo goes to Showtime?

They seem to have more outlets now than Top Rank, with Showtime, Fox Sports, CBS and Fox deportees. I'm sure they could find some room for him somewhere, or at least build him wisely to a Cuban audience. Can't understand how that idiot Bob couldn't even make the effort to have Rigo fight out of Miami. Boxing would be better off if it was spread out some more. Cubans are probably the most hardcore boxing fans there are and Rigo is already a huge name among them.

They could have Rigo fight out of Miami and give him an early timeslot on CBS where he'd likely wrack up similar ratings to the Khan undercard and the Fury-Cunningham fight on NBC, since he'll at least get the hardcore boxing fans to tune in. He's probably a bigger name right now in the states than Fury was going over. He'll be known the Filipinos, Cubans and a good chunk of boxing fans, so that should give him a good base to kick off from.

I can see GB doing some kind of Co-Promotion with Caribe. Maybe a kind of deal where if Rigo beats Santa Cruz or Mares they would get first dibs on promoting Rigo for a few more fights. Its happened with other fighters in the past.

It's not going to be any different in my opinion. It might even be worse, cause at least with TR he got to fight Donaire. I guarantee you they will not feed Abner Mares or Leo Santa Cruz to him, I guarantee that. I don't know why everyone thinks GBP productions is the saving grace, go look up what Schaefer thought about Erislandy Lara after his fight with Angulo. He said he's difficult to promote, that was considered an exciting fight... They made it very clear how they feel about Cuban fighters.
