This promotion has had a cloud over it since the russian won the purse bid
As you said, he took a knee. Povetkin has control over the important things. Firing the promoter, jeopardizing the bid, and thus the fight, those are all things Povetkin chose to do. There's no real excuse except cowardice. If he's getting battered in the ring by WK, he can go down and stay down, everything else is bs excuses to cover a shameful duck. Is it the best circumstances to fight in? No. Is it more money than he'll ever make in his life and the last chance he'll have to put himself forward as the best and not a joke? Yes.

Bear in mind we've only ever watched a fat Chis who pushed his big bro hard.
Chisora seems to be very strong & he's pushed around bigger guys in his previous fights. He is very slow & haye exposed that. I think wlad tees off on him with a punishing late round stoppage or 120-108... Chisora is a gatekeeper/top 30 guy...tough & durable but slow & marginally skilled. He would be going to war with a potato gun while wlad comes with a rocket launcher...

The guy he fired has mafia ties... These are not choir boys he's dealing with... 5.7 million from the guy he just fired. This has disaster written all over it...it took authorities 4 years to find sergei kobozev's body

Povetkin knew all that before he signed with Hrunov. Povetkin is a Russian native and knows how things work over there. No excuse for pulling out again.

What would a Klitschko thread be without someone getting butt hurt and talking about the past.
