Larry is right IMO, if you ask the serious boxing fan who they would rather watch, a fighter than runs and and blocks punches well with an occasional shot thrown or fighters like Pacquiao, Provodnikov, Rios, Matthysse, Alvarado, Golovkin, etc that stand toe to toe and war with their opponent? That is easy, most would pick the warrior over a superior technician like Rigo or Mayweather, They are BORING!!!! Like watching paint dry...

HBO and Merchant is right. But I still think they should give Rigo one more chance.

They've hyped up far bigger bums (Berto) and boring fighters (Ward and Floyd)

I think if Rigo spoke english he would get another chance

This is professional boxing, prize fighting - people are paying to watch so there is a need to entertain.

If you don't entertain, people won't pay to watch. Simple.
Yeah, it's a very simple logic. People pay to get entertained. They were clearly not entertained in his fight with Donaire. It was non-stop booing. They're disappointed. I doubt they will come back. HBO is in the business of making money. It's not charity.

As much as I dont like Arum theres not much he can do. He doesnt have the stable of fighters to match Rigo in with the right guys. At least he got Rigo his 7 hundo for his troubles. If Arum had GBP roster of fighters such as Mares, Russell Jr, and the other small mexican (cant think of his name right now) Rigo wouldnt be in this position. Now theres also a posiblity Arums trying to starve Rigo into moving up to 126 and giving Nonito a rematch.

Absolutely man, this is why he has no endorsements. Hes a liability to whoever uses his image. Same with Aaron Hernadez and how all his endorsements dropped him.

How is it that Mayweather who fights just as Rigo does, gets signed by HBO yet Rigo gets the cold shoulder. Let the fan's ratings make a boxer fight. If ratings are low then that boxer will know that he needs to change his style of fighting.
