Nope, Ponce only fought once at 130, when he beat Broner, he's been a career 122-126 fighter.

Yea, I'm a bit sick of Russel Jr. But, he is a young dude. It's not like he's Kell Brook, who NEVER EVER steps up, despite being in his late 20s.

Did any of you read the article? Apparently De Leon wants the fight at 130 only

Just as I thought. What would it have mattered anyway? Haymon would have made sure Russel got the victory against Ponce anyway, even if it went to decision.

I read the article and didn't get the impression that he refused to fight Ponce De Leon. Sounds like he wants to make sure his hand is healed with a tune up in August, what's wrong with that?

He probably doesn't want to fight him coming off a broken hand on less than a months notice.

Im just suprised ponce gave broner the fight of his life then a guy from 122 (abner mares) knocked him out. Ponce is a good name to have on your resume. Why russell would do that is beyond me
