His thorax is not broken. He's OK. He has a pain in the chest because of the effect of the seat belt during the collision.

Showtime might not have the money to put the fight on or at least pay both guys. plus you got Garcia vs Matthysse too.

they did lose 12 million from their operation budget of around 30 million on the Mayweather vs Guerrero fight. you gotta consider the money they've spent already. 3 mil for Paulie vs Broner, probably 3 or 4 for Canelo against Trout, Garcia got around 1.5 against Judah

and all the other fights they had this


so honestly they might only have a 5 or 6 million left in the budget this year.

crazy as it sounds Mayweather vs Alvarez might actually lose Showtime money. it's being reported that Mayweather will make 50 million if the PPV sells 1.5 million and Canelo will make 12.

1.5 million buys is around 106 million)60% $75 40% $65) but half that get kicked back to cable and satellite operators.

53 million + 19 million live gate, that's the bulk of the profit.

after paying Mayweather and Canelo that only leaves 10 for everything else which should be enough.

I dont't think this fight would be a smart move for Broner. He could end badly hurt. By the way, I posted this same news today earlier (Maidana was interviewed by Clarín newspaper). Chino also said the fight would be a war, but he agreed with the journalist that Broner fights too erect and with his mouth open, which exposes him to end with his jaw broken.

If Broner Steps Up, I think Maidana, puts some serious Hurt on Him!!!

About time..honestly I love both sides of the sport the technical and the brawler but its time some of these guys who will certainly have shorter careers start demanding more. These guys put on the best shows for the least money most of the time. I enjoy seeing to motherlovers going to war and when they do they should be paid properly for it. The technical boxer will have a longer career most of the time but 98 percent of the time it's a snoozefest for the casual and but the reality is that the casual fan is the bigger market.

I agree partly, but you have to put yourself in his shoes. Why advance your career slowing down a fellow countryman when you can avoid that and gain more visibility and attention to your country and flag, us latinamerican countries have alot of pride that way, besides, in a way that's like fighting a fighter from your own gym, a stable mate, it's like an unspoken rule you don't compete against each other.

On one side you could say, well we are missing a great fight. I agree, but my response is, well it's not their fault there isn't another more appealing matchup, it's not their fault how the rest of the division and the divisions above and below are, even if there is a lack of competition I don't think it's fair to call him out on it.
