(replying to Frank Ducketts from a deleted thread...)

Imo Garcia was pretty badly hurt when his mouthpiece was knocked out. After the shot he clinched hard twice, then walked the wrong direction and had to be shepherded to the corner by the ref. Imo he wasn't walking on steady legs. Obviously this is all conjecture because neither of us were in the ring with them...

That's not a knock on Garcia either, that shot puts most fighters on their buts and ko's a good few as well. He has a hell of a chin.

I just posted a thread showing what the rules say. You cant be saved as Garcia as when losing the mouthpiece.

I don't think he was hurt.

I think Matthysse was more hurt when Garcia landed the left and he held immediatly after. Not sure what round it was maybe the 7th.

I thought Matthysse was hurt then too...

But i definitely got the impression Danny was in a bit of trouble from that shot. I don't think he was out on his feet or anything, just that had he not had the break to put mouthpiece back in a couple more good shots would have made **** very interesting!

            Hello, boxingscene!

I just wanted to personally thank all the idiots and morons and jackasses in this thread who picked Matthysse to win. I was in Vegas this week looking to drop some major CA$H MONEY (that's five 0's to those keeping score at home) on this fight because I knew I couldn't make a nickel off another easy Floyd Mayweather win since that guy NEVER even comes close to losing in his entire f****** life, especially against Alvarez on Mexican Independence Day. Ea$y Money!

Well, thanks to everyone here, I knew I better pick Garcia to win since everybody knows boxing scene is full of nothing but drunks with no ca$h. So thanks for making me richer with your idiotic predictions! The only time I got worried was when Garcia put that overrated has-been Matthysse down late. A knockout would have ruined my weekend, but instead I got to spend it on a boat with hot b*tches. I raise a glass to you, friends!

Come on now, you're going to tell me Canelo would have gotten away with punching Floyd in the nuts as many times as Garcia did to Matthysse? You know as well as I do that's not happening.
I hear you, if the belts don't stay in the US with Garcia, then GBP has a hell of a job building a fan(dollar)base for a non-english speaking fighter based in another country......just saying.

One way or another Garcia was better that night. His gameplan was perfect. I favorited Matthysse, but I had a bad feeling when I saw that old goat Anthony Hopkins in Garcias corner. That guy knows how to spoil a good fight. Those low blows and clintching is all hopkins style.
On other hand Matthyse had to throw more combinations and addapt faster to Garcia. He has his chance and he failed. He wont get the rematch, I dont believe in it.

Believe it or not. The boxing journalist Walter Nelson said five minutes ago on TyC Sports, at the end of his program "Golpe a Golpe: La Vida en un Puņo", that Mario Arano told him that the Garcia - Matthysse rematch has been agreed and only the date must be set.
