2014 is going to be his year.
So you mean to tell me that picking Rigondeaux to beat Donaire doesn't make you a boxing prediction god? Get the **** outta here.

I gotta give my hat off to Matthysse, too bad for the eye. The more you watch Lucas, the more you appreciate him. I would bet on him vs Provodnikov, Rios, and Alvarado for sure.
Lucas looks like a brawler/fist of fury type guy, but his defense is very good for someone with power like his. Catches jabs very nice, shown he can also bob/weave under punches. His countering isn't too shabby.
I think if he was brought up under an elite trainer from the get go, his potential could of really hit it's peak. Fights like Chavez Sr., mauling power and never stops coming with defense/boxing skill that went a bit unnoticed.

I had the fight even after 6 rounds, that eye problem took a bit of a toll for 3-4 rounds.. Lucas seemed a lot more hesitant.
If the rematch happens, I think it'll be easier for Danny after now gaining experience with Matthysse.
