That eye swelling shut changed everything. I thought Lucas was looking really good for a couple of rounds and coming on, then bam! That eye closed and he was basically done. He was completely thrown off his game.

I was very impressed with Garcia's composure and discipline. He did what he had to do.

I know a lot of people are reveling in Matthysse losing, and we brought it on ourselves, but it was a good, competitive fight. I am fully aware of what I set myself up for these past couple months, and I'm not going to fight it. Sorry if that disappoints the people dishing it out.

matthysse is an extremely limited fighter. you can make him miss so much he falls down. if he can't land his gas he's going to lose.

Some fighters just can't get a break from fans... If they don't win, they suck... Nobody pays attention to the positive things they did in the fight, nobody accepts the fact that they got cut, or in this case got his swelled and almost closed in a matter of seconds as a legit reason for fading late... He was doing great until it happened, and even after he did what he could and has success

But its asking a lot to expect people to fans to give a guy that got any support any credit since he lost

Bradley was the same way, dude busted both his ankles in the fight, and still was making Manny miss, still put on a show without running or holding... Yet, he got no credit

That's boxing I guess

Give Garcia his credit, he swelled the eye with a legit punch... Knockdown followed the rules of boxing... He took full advantage of the half blind opponent and boxed perfectly afterward...

Now Matthysse is just a limited fighter... smh, yup
