Only 20% picking Garcia lol. I'm picking Matthysse too but I don't get why Garcia is supposed to be a chump who's gonna get destroyed. He's gotta be one of the most underrated fighters right now among hardcore fans.

This was always a close matchup, I never understood why so many people thought it would be a whitewash for Matthysse.

Frankly, although Matthysse was over-hyped, I don't see him as pure hype whatsoever. That's part of what makes this such a good victory for Garcia. He didn't beat some bum that people built up just for power, he beat a real monster and got his respect. So yeah, kudos.

Great win for Garcia, took Lucas' power and reacted with his own, even putting him down. Outstanding performance, once that eye swelled, Danny started really buckling down and landing his left hook.

Not gonna lie I thought Matthysse was going to win that fight but Garcia showed a lot more than I thought he had in just about every area. I thought Matthysse was getting over-hyped but he is still a very good fighter just that Garcia is better, much better than I thought.

Man, it's gonna be bad lol. The alts are starting to pop up too, it's gonna get ******ed in NSB. Guys get built up in here to then tear them down later, Matts is just another victim of the hype and excitement that he brings. Hopefully GGG doesn't get beat by Stevens.

i thought it was always a close fight, though i thought that mathysse had a slight edge. he had a proven chin, unreal power, while danny had all the intangibles in his favor. does everything well, not anything particularly great.
