Danny did well. He looked nervous just before the fight but just did enough to break up Matthysse's offense. Not with just the holding, but throwing crisp shots and making Lucas hesitant when he was just about to to march in.

Though I agree with the sentiments about all the clinching/low-blowing and that lame KD, Garcia landed his fair share of hard shots and was even flashing his jab. He won, it's all good. Even before he was getting tagged, he was too tactical and not busy enough. I feel he lost the fight more than Garcia won it, not taking anything away but that's just how I see it. Not biased, I bet on Garcia.

I felt Garcia's counter-punching was very accurate. You can't take it away from Danny in fairness. He's a nice guy too, it's just annoying because of his Dad lol.

Congratulations to Danny Garcia on a superb victory. He fought a very tactical slow-paced fight and threw Lucas Matthysse off his game. Moreover, it didn't help matters either that Lucas wasn't able to fight his typical fast-paced fight due to the officiating. Weeks kept breaking them out of the clinches each time he attempted to fight on the inside.
