You can't deny that.He clearly struggled late after he couldn't put Judah away and the KD didn't keep him down. If he faded like that against Judah, a fight he was dominating until he gassed, I shudder to think what Matthysse's pressure does to him.

The only reason Golden Boy made Garcia-Judah is because they thought Garcia was better than he is and would blast Judah early like Khan did the previous year. A large majority thought Garcia would blast Judah out.
5.6-1 Garcia wins by decision? That was a freaking gimme

I am not the least bit worried, not even as the fight approaches.

If he hadn't started so strong, he may have been able to conserve his energy and not get hurt as much late, but he also may never have looked as impressive as he did early in the fight that way.
He may have been thinking that Zab starts fast and fades later so he should get off to a faster start early to nullify what is usually Zab's best part of a fight. Not terrible logic, but Garcia's clearly not a fighter that can do it all. He got off to a quick start which cost him later. I think he'll probably try to conserve energy and box Lucas early, but Matthysse showed against Peterson that he can take the air out of the tires of that plan pretty quickly.
I think Garcia will find himself fighting for dear life by round 3, and even if he survives, I don't think he's shown he can maintain a high workrate late into a fight. His only hope is a GARSH landing somewhere, and that it's enough to stop Lucas. So okay yeah, Danny's getting steamrolled.Last edited by samouraļ; 09-02-2013, 06:07 PM.

Again, it's the reason Golden Boy made the fight to begin with. "Khan smashed Judah, Garcia smashed Khan, Garcia should smash Judah!"
