Honestly can't see Matthysse being beaten by the kid. Lucas just looks like a beast recently, and Danny in his most recent fight looked vulnerable. Plus, Danny has had an easy ride up in the past year.
Rewatched a lot of fights lately, I honestly can't think of a way Garcia wins. It'll end in a Matthysse KO, only way I see it.

Or, its possible that Judah was able to fight as hard as he did because Garcia just isn't quite as strong as some people think. Garcia was hurt. You can't deny that.

Don't say that, Danny's a beast bro. He clearly struggled late after he couldn't put Judah away and the KD didn't keep him down. If he faded like that against Judah, a fight he was dominating until he gassed, I shudder to think what Matthysse's pressure does to him.

I'm rarely as confident about a fight as I am about this one. I don't when or how, I don't know if it will be a brutal KO or a stoppage or have to be stopped on cuts, but I am 100% confident Matthysse will win this fight. I am not the least bit worried, not even as the fight approaches.

If I'm wrong, I'm wrong and I'll own up to it, but I can't see it either.

The only reason Golden Boy made Garcia-Judah is because they thought Garcia was better than he is and would blast Judah early like Khan did the previous year. A large majority thought Garcia would blast Judah out.
I can agree to that because I bet on Garcia by decision by +560.... are you kidding me?
5.6-1 Garcia wins by decision? That was a freaking gimme

This. I'm doing a LOT more "Garcia is getting smashed", "September 15th: date of Garcia's funeral service" kind of **** than I usually do. I can't think of a fight I've been more confident about recently other than some of GGG's, but he hasn't had the chance to fight the top names in his division. Matthysse is fighting the guy who finds himself at the top along with him, and yet I can't think of how Garcia will even be able to compete. He's a good little fighter, but I am REALLY sure Lucas will be too much for him. I'll own up to it if I'm wrong, too. I don't need an alt.

I was gonna say something along these lines.

This should be obvious to people. I mean, he started strong and looked good. Look what it cost him: he faded, and Zab took over and hurt him late.

If he hadn't started so strong, he may have been able to conserve his energy and not get hurt as much late, but he also may never have looked as impressive as he did early in the fight that way.

He may have been thinking that Zab starts fast and fades later so he should get off to a faster start early to nullify what is usually Zab's best part of a fight. Not terrible logic, but Garcia's clearly not a fighter that can do it all. He got off to a quick start which cost him later. I think he'll probably try to conserve energy and box Lucas early, but Matthysse showed against Peterson that he can take the air out of the tires of that plan pretty quickly.

I think Garcia will find himself fighting for dear life by round 3, and even if he survives, I don't think he's shown he can maintain a high workrate late into a fight. His only hope is a GARSH landing somewhere, and that it's enough to stop Lucas. So okay yeah, Danny's getting steamrolled.

I remember in the official poll that got stickied, I was one of the few who picked Garcia by decision, an overwhelming number was on the Garcia KO train. Not that it would have been shocking if he did get the KO, but I can't believe so many thought Judah would get smoked so easily.

Again, it's the reason Golden Boy made the fight to begin with. "Khan smashed Judah, Garcia smashed Khan, Garcia should smash Judah!"
