I predict 1 thing only:

September 14th, Daddy Garcia holding Danny Garcia in his arms, both of them bawling, while Matthysse chases after Coward Boy Floyd in the next few months. (in vain.)

I like both guys really, they both come to fight. I dont think Garcia looked shaken at the Petersen fight, just stunned like everyone else that it ended inside 3 rounds. For people to say that either fighter is scared is a bit opionated unless you know them. Wary maybe (who wouldn't...they can both end fights with a single shot) but not scared.

As for the PR stunt/tour, I dont think Matthysse had any intention of going and just agreed so there were no additional ripples to iron out. Garcia is a public person and at ease around large crowds, matthysse is not. He lives a secluded life away distractions and has stuck to a training regime for many years. to expect him to travel 4 hours to BA then 11 hours to the US would seriously knock his focus. Neither fighter would benefit from this more than they would from the extra time in the gym. I know some fans were disappointed not to see it , but watching them fight is better than watching them ***** (via a translator ).

They both have strangths and weaknesses and on that point it is pretty even. I just feel that Matthysse has the higher level of discipline, which could be the deciding factor.

Garcia will show up game but he is getting put to bed before the mid-way point of the fight.

i disagree, I think this fight goes about 10 or 11 rounds. peterson fight could've went longer had lamont had an ounce of confidence in himself. dude was scared ****less in that fight from the opening bell

i think danny fights a big game and shows he's at least as good of a boxer as lamont peterson is, but has much more confidence which will get him into the late rounds against lucas. but I feel lucas will probably drop danny once or twice before the fight ends
