Dude I been commenting on this thread for almost a week now and I scared everyone that is on Matthyse raisin sack away. All they say is Matthyse "KO6" or "Matthyse is going to kill this kid and Angel Garcia that bastard is going to cry, it's going to make me jizz all in my happyhole". Anyway you provided something.. let me break it down.

Its this simple, he comes forward with his aggressive style, high guard, and great chin while Danny wings big punches... As soon as the flat footed Garcia gets put up against the ropes, he unleashes a barrage of punches to the head and body... He may escape early a couple times early, but his mediocre chin, horrible defense, and wide punches will eventually give in the the power

First of all Matthyse when he being aggressive his high guard drops down and the jury is still out on his chin so you are most likely fooling yourself. Matthyse has been shaken up by a softer puncher in Alexander so he may not want to be lunging in on Garcia who is not particurlarly faster than him but his timing is amazing. Garcia I do not think will be coming wide in this fight unless he has Matthyse backing up, who doesn't fight on the back foot. Garcia has actually shown a better chin than Matthyse, he got hit by Kendall Holt, Erik Morales on Roids, and Judah while his energy was depleted and still fought them without problem. Also Garcia defense have something to do with timing, Matthyse is the slowest fighter he going to be facing punching wise so his parrying will be shown much more in this fight which will lead to the right hand he upgraded for the Judah fight.

If Judah can walk him down and hurt him despite being wobbled around the ring early, than Matthysse is definitely going to do it... Without question

Judah never tired in the Garcia fight though, his condition was top-notch like never before. Judah even said he was on his A-game for this fight to prove himself. Garcia was tired by the ninth round while Judah energy was still up there and Judah didn't walk Garcia down.. Watch the fight over he was timing Garcia who slowed up but yet Garcia still pummeled him with hard shot so Zab opted to box and time him.

Garcia is made for Matthysse. How long he lasts or how well he does depends on his chin. If Garcia has a mega chin and Matthysse can't hurt him, then I could see trouble for Matthysse. Otherwise he has no chance.

Garcia's feet are as glued to the floor as a sloppy slow HW, and his defense is to stand his ground,and take a shot to give one. Like I said, he's made for Matthysse. It's such a simple fight to assess.

So I'll summarize everything real quick

Matthysse - Judah was close becuz Matthysse tried to box with him early instead of hard charging his way inside like he's done to every opponent since. His own corner admits this early in the fight "Great boxing, he thought you were just knocking guys out, he didn't know you can box" - paraphrased... This cost him early, but no later than round 6 did he start winning rounds more and more one-sided

80% Of Judah's landed punches were jabs, Matthysse was landing straight rights to the body all night... Power Punch > Jab every time

I didn't get to rewatch the fight last night, which is why I'm back here, so ur bias and sanity are still in question, but any buckling Matthysse does in the Alexander fight (lets not forget Alexander knocked out Juan Urango with one punch), was most likely an insignificant instance in a round that ur bias for Garcia forces u to blow out of proportion... Yes, Danny Garcia is a very good boxer, he doesn't so much adapt as instead he comes in with the perfect game plan... Hit Khan with a counter left, Keep Judah back with constant right hands... But he has horrible defense, a shaky chin, and by the end of every fight, probably becuz he's gassed, he throws the game plan out the window and starts winging big hooks...

I can see him keeping Matthysse at a distance for the first few rounds, but Matthysse comes forward with just enough defense to protect his already granite chin, fighting behind a good jab and straight right hand to the body combo that will back Garcia to the ropes, simultaneously slowing him down for later in the fight... And its just plain old logic, u don't have to have a glass jaw for Matthysse to hurt u, and Danny is going to get hurt in this fight by the biggest puncher he's faced so far... There's no way u can't see that happening

Like I said, Matthysse's chin is not in question, he took a flush counter left from Judah, which has stunned and knocked out many fighters before, and smiled at him... A temporary knee buckle doesn't mean an thing... Garcia was wobbled around the ring holding on for his life against a former Jr. Featherweight in his late 30's

Those fights were a few years ago and the Judah-Garcia fight was like 3 months ago. Danny is wide open and he was hurt late in the fight against Judah. That right hand is very wide and sometimes, he just wings it out there half-heartedly. Matthysse is a much better fighter than he was in 2010 and he realizes that he must start fast and not let the fight go to the cards. Danny will get caught in an exchange or after he gets done throwing and he will get stretched out. Now, he may get up but he is getting hurt badly, real bad.

It will be a Matthysse left hook (ironically) that lays Garcia out because he will try to land straight rights on Lucas knowing that he is aware of the left hook. He throws it very wide and he will get get caught just like Peterson did and it's all down hill from there. Lucas is already training while Garcia is making rap vids...........that alone shows you where each man's head is at.

Being hurt late can happen if someone times you while your energy is depleted after you beat their ass for 27 minutes straight. Garcia being hit perfectly by a counter while he was tired and while he couldn't keep his hands up is not really a tell. Judah hurt him but not badly where he had to go in survival mode. He also didn't get desperate, he still patiently waited and went for opportunities he saw and still hit Judah with shots that sent Judah back.

The thing is Matthyse is not good at measuring distance and timing, he always got lucky because fighters felt like they had to get into a fire fight with him. Garcia may throw wide shots but so do Lucas and not only do Lucas throw wide shots but he lunges in and usually be out of balance. I guarantee Garcia will be waiting for those moments, jabbing him to keep a little distance waiting for him to lean in, then BOOM there goes the dynamite, good night.

Actually Garcia is smart, you don't really know what he is doing behind the scenes but I hope Matthyse is training hard too bad it seems he is not unlearning any of his bad habits. Everyone is telling him that Garcia is a basic fighter and your power will be the key, Garcia is going to bet on LM being aggressive which will be his downfall.

I am assessing skills both fighters have and lack based on their past performances, I have never said because this guy lost to this guy or won he is the better man. Your peers are actually the ones using triangle theories as well as past fights to give credence to their arguments which only weakens their point and I am exposing that.

Everything you said is opinion, I could say the same about Matthyse being tailor made for Garcia which is actually true. Garcia actually only had to take hits to counter was against Judah and Khan both of which have much faster hands than he do and faster legs. He rolled with the shots but came back with a devastating shot, one of which ended the fight basically. However I am sure you missed the times Garcia actually caught Judah shots with his guard and came back with a counter which lifted his feet off the ground several times through-out the course of the fight. Garcia showed me in his last fight is that he is cerebral and can counter very well. He can pick up somebody rhythm parry off of it like Fightnight Round 3 and do damage. Defensively he is better than Matthyse whose power is his saving grace, his power makes fighters shell up and fight his fight out of desperation. Matthyse never been in any wars he always had the luxury of being the stalker but Garcia have been in wars. Matthyse can be touched easily and he will be hit harder than he have been hit before.. His lung style and slow punches is made for entertaining material but only against fodder and not champions.

Alexander & Judah are defensive southpaws who fight absolutely nothing like Garcia.

Garcia personally reminds me of a small version of David Price only its a left hook he possesses rather than the straight right.

I said Peterson gets stopped very early. I'm saying Garcia lasts 4-5 rounds max and wouldn't be shocked if he gets knocked out inside of 2.

I will not be singing Lucas praises on this one as to me its a mismatch. I'm not going to lie I feel Lucas walks through this kid like hes nothing.

You cant always get lucky, 6 KOs in a row at that kind of level isnt luck, its being a KO expert.
And Matthysse is good at finding the range and timing his opponent. He showed that with a faster (yet inexperienced) Dallas Jr. Maybe you dont know Spanish but in the interview right after the fight he said just that, that he timed Dallas and put him to sleep in round 1.
No idea where you're getting this from about him not being good at finding the right distance and timing his opponent given he's particularly good at doing just that.
