Oh Danny... Sweet innocent hip hop singing Danny. You know, at some level I think he doesnt fully understand the kind of ass kicking he's going to get.
Matthysse: Fight his fight. He's the better brawler, as long as he isn't walking ******ly into shots, which would be uncharacteristic, he'll win.
Garcia: His punches have to hurt and they have to hit first. He's not an off the backfoot boxer, he's not going to win that way, he has to hurt Lucas.
Agreed. I seen a few posts earlier saying that Garcia could move a lot and get a decision. In what world lol.
One area Garcia could capitalize is that Matthysse has a habit of over rotating on some punches leaving himself stranded and open to counter. It was worst in the Peterson fight but ive seen him do it before. If Danny can hang in the pocket (massive IF) and wait for those opportunities he does pick his shots pretty well so could get some big shots off in those moments. Problem is 'hanging in the pocket' means taking shots from an absolute monster, and there is no guarantee that even a flush counter shot hurts Matthysse more than he has already hurt you. Which is why stylistically i think this is a horrible fight for Danny.
Agreed on Matthysse if he keeps his cool and does what he's been doing (intelligent pressure/ being a don) i see him winning in style.
Edit: My post is ******ed as Lucas only really over rotates on the outside. Danny's fucked
This would be ****** if the fight end early. I've waited for too long I want to see action pack fight for twelve rounds ending with KO.
Dude, have you seen how Garcia bleeds? Trust me this fight is NOT lasting 12 rounds. As much as I dont like Danny I dont wish him disfigured.
Anyway, I dont see Garcia lasting that much anyway.
are you mental? What part of brothers not being the same people cant you understand?
He's his brother, not his fking clone!
"Dude, you cant beat the champ! your brother isnt even a boxer, hes a real estate agent!"
Same ******ed logic.
Derp.. His brother is a boxer. So you're ******ed logic do not make a great response to the point I made.
Do you watch boxing? or you just hop on bandwagons because it's the cool thing to do?
His older brother I'm sure was the one to teach him how to fight, that's nothing new, happens in families all the time. They have the same awkward boxing stance, wind up their punches the same, and K.O almost all of their opponents. Only difference is that Matthyse didn't face a puncher yet to expose him.
Lucas has never taken as much punishment as Danny, so you can't say he has as good a chin. People thought his brother was a freak of nature until he got KTFO by Cintron and Williams, and you can see his facial strucure's exactly the same as his Lucas's. People are acting like he walks through his opponents punches like George Foreman.. smh..
Garcia is gonna get hit early and he's gonna try to survive. He will start moving and he's gonna start clinching like he did to Morales and Judah when they had him hurt.
But guess what? They inevitable will happen cause Garcia just isn't a boxer who moves around well.

Matthyse is the slowest opponent that Garcia is going to be facing ever in his career, why do you feel he is going to get hit by him and not being able to take off some of the damage. Garcia is arguably the best defensively opponent that Matthyse is fighting. Judah and Devon keep their hands down and do not try to absorb blows to their gloves, Garcia actually parries off shots, which he did to Judah in their fight that caused a knockdown and cut in one counter blow. Danny parries, he doesn't need to move around especially against a slow puncher that keeps his hands down.
