LOL, how could it not be a crowd pleasing fight? I imagine there will be a lot of disappointed fans when Matthysse blasts Garcia and it isn't nearly the war people expect.

Hey, I thought it would be, too. I was one of the first to say it would be after the PEDerson-Holt fight.

Matthysse blasting him that way basically confirmed to me that Garcia is ****ed. I still think PEDerson would beat Garcia.

I knew there was a good chance of an early KO because Lamont always hits the canvas early, but thought Peterson would survive that early period and give a hell of a fight coming back. Matthysse wasn't having any of that though.

At times it looked like Lucas was desperate for the KO. To this day I wonder if he was in the condition to go late or if he knew that he wasn't. (Im not saying he wasnt) Considering all the stuff that happened prior and that pic of him looking in horrible shape.

Hopefully those issues are avoided this time. I worried about that too, he looked terrible in that one pic.

I didnt see that pic. Do you have a link to the picture?
After the fight Lucas said he was surprised he KO him so soon. I think it was clear he was expecting a much longer fight. Given the bombs he was landing it would take a seriously tough guy to withstand that punishment over several rounds.

I'm with the guy on the previous page who thinks PEDersone would still beat Garcia. I don't think Danny's given us any reason to think he's #1 at 140 whatsoever, and I think Matthysse could definitely make shorter work of him than he did Lamont.

Plus, Matthysse did seem to have some bad luck in his training camp/prep for that fight, and if everything goes smoothly this time he should be even more unstoppable.
