Top Rank was on top for a while. Now, GBP is the leader. It doesn't make sense to compare the two because that is the equivalent of comparing apples to oranges.

I do believe that GBP has taken more risks with its fighters. For example, Bob Arum admitted that he would not have put Alvarez in the ring with Trout because it was too risky. Schafer loaded the deck by putting the fight in Texas, but at least he made the fight. Also, if Garcia and Matthysee were with Arum, they wouldn't be fighting each other in September of this year or 2014.

Top Rank don't really build stars, they either need stars who have already made a big name for themselves I.E Zou Shiming or build the fighter by having him beat another PPV draw, obviously that implies Pac. The funny thing is TR did that by accident, they never expected Pac to explode the way he did. Just check out Bob's comments about Rigo to see what they're really like.

GB on the other hand is actually capable of building stars up gradually. They've been showing us by gradually getting people familiar with Canelo as he fights on Mayweather's undercards.
