In all fairness I like Lucas but he has no chance at all. First consider this, Peterson easily won the first round but got ****** and wanted to earn some respect in the 2nd to keep Lucas off and paid for it, Floyd is not dumb and he would box him all night. But other than Floyd I think any other guy can get it 140 to 147. My dream fights are Lucas & Rios or lucas and Provodnikov, or any other those ****ers. I would like him to fight Devon again to because Devon is just boring as hell as skilled as he is and I just want to see him Ko'd.. I know that ain't right..lol

Floyd on the other hand can move and box all night, he is faster, and his timing is better, also too I think taking a punch from Floyd hurts more. He may not be knocking guys out but I keep telling people it's a reason guys like cotto, ortiz, mosley, etc etc even Robert stop throwing punching and find themselves backing up in the fight. And other than ortiz the other guys have proven chins and can take a punch

And I've told you before that I think the number of people that want Floyd to fight middleweights and say he's ducking Golovkin and crap like that is not that many. They are loud, but they are a minority. Would NSB love Mayweather-Golovkin at 154, if GGG could proved he can make the weight? Of course. But it wouldn't actually be considered a duck if Golovkin does the same thing Sergio did, call him out without ever moving down.
I will concede your point about the vocal minority but its not as small as you make it out. Posters will down any floyd fight against a boxer with speed because in their mind a brutal KO wont happen so the fight can't happen.
So I maintain its only about next man up with floyd if the next man up has one punch KO power. Matthysse KO's Danny- floyd fight Matts. Danny 11-1 UD over matts-floyd fight GGG. The sad thing is that the guys with speed and boxing ability probably stand a better chance to win.

If Garcia beats Matthysse, I guarantee the majority who say Matthysse will knock Garcia out will want Mayweather to fight Garcia. No matter who wins that fight, they are the best realistic option.
There is no one with speed and boxing ability good enough to even give Mayweather a competitive fight, let alone beat him. If Alvarez can't do it, no one at 147 or 140 can come close. So the only risks are punchers, which is why the overwhelming demand for Mayweather opponents tends to be punchers. If Lara or Trout was a realistic option, I'd love to see Mayweather fight them, but they're not.

People don’t seem to hate guys like Andre Ward, and he’s black. And people literally hated Joe Calzaghe, and so on. Hell I hate Andre Berto because he was getting more money in this sport then he deserved. Black isn’t a reason people hate Mayweather for being black, that part isn’t true at all. Brash and Rich, yea but not black. And like the other poster saids, he plays the villain, he’s said it multiple times, The “Money persona” he uses so people will hate him and pay to hopefully get that enjoyment of losing.
He brings most the hate on himself and its that simple. He’s a great talent and nobody denies that.
You must not frequent these boards enough if you actually believe Andre Ward does not get hated on often. Go through the ARCHIVES and look for any thread that has CARL FROCH attached to it. People on here treat Andre Ward like he lost to Froch. Even more, I see a lot of people declaring Ward a headbutting cheat that won't leave his hometown.
And as for Mayweather, you're crazy if you don't think any of the hate he gets is because he's BLACK. Are you kidding me? Let me guess, in your eyes, racism died once ***** got elected? Right?
Like I stated earlier, I've been around boxing forums long enough to know when something is "trending". I've walked into too many threads and seen words like WATERMELON, KFC, FRIED CHICKEN, CRACK HEAD ROGER, CRACK HEAD MAYWEATHERS, WELFARE, etc...
So none of that has to do with Mayweather's ethnicity?
I realize Floyd plays the "bad guy" for the media. Look at his career as a whole tho, his persona wasn't always like it is today. He used to be more humble and eager to please.
But HATERS like Larry Merchant helped create this "MONEY MAY" persona he has today. Merchant and the other haters would always try to discredit Floyd by saying his fights aren't exciting, or he doesn't like being hit. Or he can't sellout any arenas.
Why didn't Arturo Gatti get criticized more times than not for living like a rock star, not taking training seriously, and taking epic beatings inside of the ring?
You think Floyd could have gotten away from criticism if he lived and fought like Gatti? Doubt it.
This is where race comes into play. I'm not saying everything is about COLOR, but it definitely plays a big part in a lot of people's lives. Lets not front.
