    Thanks for the laugh Mannie!!!

At best lucas has a punchers chance nothing more maybe less, if he is lucky he may land one or two half decents shots in the fight but in thee end he gets outclassed!!! Yes Peterson was a good win for lucas but peterson is not even close to being on floyds level so lets nots get carried away!!!

IMO Lucas should stay away from JMM as well because he will get schooled and knock out!!!

Off topic, but I think Lucas would smash Marquez... Lets not let wins over stylistically different Manny Pacquiao confuse the situation...

The only thing Manny has in common with Lucas is the punching power... Otherwise Lucas is more like a tougher more powerful and more defensive Juan Diaz (who gave Marquez all kinds of trouble, lets not forget)... Lets not forget Marquez coming off the canvass against Mike Kats...

It takes more than power to beat Mayweather.

I love Matthysse and think with his insane power it is certainly possible but I suspect Mayweather would run rings around Matthysse. He'd probably have Matthysse falling over missing wildly, and falling through the ropes as he aggressively swings for the fences. He'd probably make Matthysse look ridiculously slow, sluggish and mechanical. There is elite level and then there is boxing genius.

Mayweather would play the roll of Rigondeaux and Matthysse would play the roll of Donaire. This would be a flat out boxing lesson. Professor Mayweather and Student Matthysse. The Professor always wins.

Mayweather would likely win the fight, but he couldn't put Matthysse in ridicule, because Lucas is very cerebral and wouldn't go ahead like a bull.

Matthysse sparks Guerrero imo. Too much punishment.

The odd thing is Floyd takes this attitude too. He seems to think he can pick and choose his opponents and that anyone who complains about his choice is hating, rather than wanting to see the best take on the best possible.

The reason a fighter would take a tuneup is to make sure they can handle the weight obviously, and handle fighters at that weight, but that logic doesn't really apply to fighting Mayweather. He's weighing the same thing on fight night that Matthysse usually does.

Make the fight at 147 right after Garcia, and Lucas can come in at whatever makes him comfortable, rehydrate to whatever, and not suffer.
That would be a bad move ..... the best thing to do is get as many fights as possible at 147. Now I know that he can't get too many due to the circumstances of later missing the opportunity. So that is why I say as much as possible.

Remember Hatton being able to do what he did to most 140lbs but had issues at 147 even against lower level fighters than Floyd .......
