That danny defeat gives him his dues and a floyd fight. I'm salivating at the possibilities.
I think the Matthysse-Garcia winner is the next logical fight for Mayweather should he beat Canelo.
That said, I expect the Khan-Alexander winner to get it.
Ideally, If I was the match maker, I'd make Mayweather-Matthysse (Assuming they both win) in February 2014 (Floyd's been vocal about wanting to fight around his Birthday) then that's perfect timing to have the winner of that fight the winner of the Alexander-Khan fight in September. Makes perfect sense to me.
But that's unlikely now as Mayweather has said he's looking to fight in May and September again next year. That could all change though.
So, I'd bet that if Floyd beats Canelo, the Khan-Alexander winner will be in May 2014 as opposed to the Matthysse-Garica winner.
I'm still confident Mayweather Vs the winner of Garcia-Matthysse will happen though down the line. There just isn't enough options out there for him.

I completely agree. Eventually Floyd figjts Lucas and loses.
Lucas vs Danny on the undercard whenever it's finalized is for the winner to be showcased as Floyd's next opponent @147. I doubt win or lose he really wants to fight @154 to many more times. If it is Lucas which right now I kinda hope for. He makes to many fundamental mistakes to beat Floyd even a declining stage. Does he has a punchers chance probably it's a fight I would have to attend if it happens.
It is a tough fight but how is Lucas going to react when Floyd doesn't oblige him, and while Lucas is sort of a pressure guy he is a guy who works efficiently which is a bit of a double edge sword against Floyd. It is good because the pace will be suited to Matthysse fine but Floyd will also be allowed to fight at his pace.
Even if Floyd is not as good defensively he will still be superior to Matthysse so Floyd will be able to hit Matthysse with more regularity, the question comes down to can Matthysse hit Mayweather enough good to overcome that.
Not impossible but not exactly an easy task either. It is one of those if the fight is rather lackluster Mayweather would likely be winning but if there is excitement Matthysse is probably doing well.
Lucas would be a harder fight for Floyd than Garcia. However, I think Garcia beats Lucas, and Lucas won't ever get the chance to fight Mayweather.
Lucas would be unable to do much once Floyd neutralizes that straight right hand to the body. His effectiveness has always been severely limited when facing "boxers". Floyd is THE master boxer
