That's the entire point of the sport and it applies to every fighter. Next man up.
First: What did you score the Matthyse-Alexander fight? I scored it 95-94 for Matthyse. However, more than a few rounds were very close. So I have always stated that the fight could have gone either way.

How do you feel Matthyse was robbed? What did he do so much better than Alexander, to make you feel he was robbed?

At what point did he begin to dominate Alexander to the point you felt like LM has it in the bag?

Lastly, to touch on your last paragraph: name me one champion in the history of boxing that fought nothing but GREAT fighters back-to-back for the majority of their boxing career. I'll wait...

Mayweather does not need to fight Matthyse or Garcia, right after Canelo. He needs a softer touch in between Canelo and Matthyse/Garcia.

He has earned that right at 36 years of age... and still undefeated.

    You better recognize.

      What makes you so confident?
Those back to back robberies lit a fire under Lucas ass. He knows he cant let it go to the score cards against "slicksters" He's truly improved not so much in technique but desire and ambition. Also, their is a subtle improvement in his ability to fight those slick fighters now. The adjustments in the Peterson fight were brilliant. On the flip side, Floyd is declining. He's still phenomenal but his ring movement isnt as good as it was against Hatton. The Cotto fight showed that with pressure you can draw him into exchanges which he got the best of I know. The Guerrero fight showed me that an extremely limited fighter can have some success against Floyd with pressure and slightly dirty tactics. I believe full and well that Matthysse would tko'd Cotto and win a solid d with multiple kd's of Guerrero if not ko him as well. Guerrero has shown durability so I wont just say he gets steam rolled. Mtthysse doesnt throw typical combos thats how he gets his power shots to land by changing each combo. Floyd will get hit by Lucas several times and Lucas will capitalize on Floyd at the first sight of a wobbly leg. Thus ko'ing potentially the greatest fighter of this era.

A fight doesn't have to be a domination to be a robbery. Alexander has no case for winning that fight. If you give him every possible round he can be given, he wins 5. That's still not enough for even a draw because of the knockdown. Lucas won that fight, no question. Giving Alexander 5 rounds is extremely generous and probably a round too many anyway.

Neither Matthysse or Garcia are great. Neither were Guerrero, Cotto, Ortiz, or Mosley. Cotto and Mosley were very, very good at their best, but Floyd didn't fight them at their best. Alvarez is the best fight Mayweather has taken in a long, long time.

Demanding too much of Mayweather is asking him to fight Golovkin next. Asking him to fight one of two good, but far from great, fighters like Lucas or Garcia is not asking that much.

I can respect this train of thought. I would love to see Lucas beat Floyd, if they both win their upcoming fights (assuming Garcia vs Lucas gets finalized) I would love to see them fight next!

Nope, Floyd wins comfortably, keep dreaming.

            • Lucas would hand Mayweather his second loss because Canelo will hand him his first. This will rid the boxing world of Mayweather and his low class, illiterate, criminal fan base.

You are obviously in LOVE with Lucas Matthyse. They say love is BLIND and your post exemplifies that sentiment.

So let me get this straight. Lucas Matthyse would KO Robert Guerrero even though he couldn't KO Devon Alexander or Zab Judah?

                I don't understand.

Secondly, why do you LOVE Lucas Matthyse more than Tim Bradley?

Bradley beat Lamont Peterson YEARS ago. Bradley actually made Devon Alexander quit. Bradley even beat Manny Pacquiao.

What makes Lucas Matthyse a better or more rewarding fighter than Tim Bradley?

Only thing I can add more about the Matthyse-Alexander fight is that Harold Ledderman had it 95-94 for Matthyse as well. However, ONE POINT was the difference between the two boxers.

I just don't see how that fight was a robbery. But I digress, it is what it is.

As for Mayweather's level of competition. Check it out:

Shane Mosley was coming off the annihilation of PRIME Antonio Margarito.

Victor Ortiz was coming off an impressive victory over Andre Berto.

Miguel Cotto was undefeated at 154, plus he was coming off possibly the most important win of his career, rematch with Margarito. Cotto was looking RETRO at 154... until Mayweather beat him.

Now Canelo is coming off the most important and impressive win of his career, Austin Trout.

Then when Floyd beats Canelo, in more than likely, dominant fashion. People will want him to take on the Matthyse-Garcia winner. Then after that will be either GGG, or Ward.

People think Floyd is SUPERMAN but then want to belittle him like he's all HYPE.
