    That's exactly how it works.

First "they" said Mayweather wasn't ready for Genaro Hernandez. Genaro was UNDEFEATED at 130! And he'll give the young brash Mayweather a boxing lesson!

    Result: Mayweather by TKO

Then right after they said Floyd Mayweather cherry picked the old Genardo Hernandez. ANGEL MANFREDY is the real young lion at Jr. Lightweight. He just knocked out the great IRISH hype, ARTURO GATTI.

Mayweather doesn't DUCK Manfredy. In his very next fight, guess who he fought?

    Result: Mayweather TKO

Then after Floyd fights a few tough but lesser known challenges, the new threat was CHICO CORRALES. Corrales was ko'ing guys like silly at the time. The haters said Mayweather will never fight Chico! A mixed breed Vato that can punch.

So Mayweather obliges and fight Chico.

    Result: Mayweather TKO

Then after Mayweather beat Chico, the new cry was HE'S AFRAID TO MOVE UP FROM 130. HE ONLY WANTS TO BREAK JOE LOUIS' TITLE DEFENSE RECORD BECAUSE HE'S SCARED OF BIGGER CHALLENGES!

Mayweather moves up and fights the #1 RANKED LIGHTWEIGHT at the time, Jose Castillo. He fights Castillo in his very first LW fight and beats him. Then beats him again in an immediate rematch.

His entire career has gone like this which leads us to CANELO.

After Canelo it'll be... LUCAS MATTHYSE...then after Matthyse TKO it'll be GGG then.. FROCH...then it'll be WEIDMAN...lol
Thats boxing, Should Floyd have retired after he beat Hernandez because he proved he was the greatest with that win? Every athlete has to deal with critics, that one of the hard things about being a superstar athlete, but Mayweather fans take this to another level. Roy got it when he was on top, Pacquaio got it, Leonard got it, Ali got it.

And with that whole list you gave I love how you didn’t mention everyone saids Manny Knocks Floyd out and guess who he fought…Not the Pacman.

Floyd ducked some fighters and some fighters he didn’t duck, its that simple, same for almost every fighter in the history of the sport.

On topic, yea they will say he’s ducking Matthysse but only a real fool thinks Lucas has what it takes to beat Floyd except for a punchers chance. Canelo is overhyped but he is more of a stylistic nightmare for Floyd, he’s quick and the weight they’re fighting at is wayyyyy more dangerous and risky to hurt Floyd then in a 147 match up with Matthysse, and he has some boxing skills. His stamina and lack of experience will hurt him in this fight. Floyd will pick him apart

Like, when will you MAYWEATHER HATERS ever realize he's not superhuman and he cannot fight every single FANTASY MATCHUP you create for him?

Like the one created in this very thread.

Now if he somehow doesn't fight LM in his very next fight, it's "FLOYDS SUCH A DOUCHE CHERRY PICKER! I CAN'T BELIEVE HE'S FIGHTING (Enter fighter not named Lucas Matthyse here____) and NOT LUCAS. FLOYD IS A DUCK! HIS FANS SUCK!

      lol
That part I get, but also you got to realize, Floyd brings that hate on himself with his persona and he knows it. He'll always have his haters because a big part of what he does is try to create more of them to watch him and hope he loses.

They seem offended by the idea that once Mayweather fights someone, we expect him to fight someone else. They seem to believe that one Alvarez entitles him to five Devon Alexanders, and to question that at all is hating.

I'm not saying he shouldn't have critics. Critics are one thing and HATERS are a totally different animal.

I've walked into too many Mayweather threads and CHICKEN and WATERMELON references are being thrown around without regard for anything.

People literally hate Mayweather because he's BLACK, RICH, BRASH... and most of all... THE BEST at what he does.

Getting back to topic... Floyd not fighting Pac-Man is not entirely on Floyd. I admit he created a few obstacles - like the drug testing requirements - but Manny played HARD BALL as well.

So they both deserve equal criticism for that fight not happening. Instead, all I hear is Floyd DUCKED Manny. C'mon!!! Gimme a break!

And as far as Canelo, I see the fight playing out similar to how you said it. Canelo is much more of a threat to Floyd than is Matthyse. By far.

That's definitely a part of his persona. Mayweather likes stirring the pot.

I only get on the defensive when I see his in the ring accomplishments being treated like he's done nothing for the sport. Like he's only an overrated duck waiting to be exposed.

That couldn't be farther from the truth. So I have to say something.

              Five Devons huh?

Can Lucas Matthyse beat 1 Devon Alexander?

Now what's the topic of this thread?

              LOL

Manny certainly played a part, but Floyd really didn’t want the fight, once the drug testing was agreed on, now Floyd wants an unfair amount. And I think Floyd would have won that fight but never the less that will always be a stain on his legacy.

People don’t seem to hate guys like Andre Ward, and he’s black. And people literally hated Joe Calzaghe, and so on. Hell I hate Andre Berto because he was getting more money in this sport then he deserved. Black isn’t a reason people hate Mayweather for being black, that part isn’t true at all. Brash and Rich, yea but not black. And like the other poster saids, he plays the villain, he’s said it multiple times, The “Money persona” he uses so people will hate him and pay to hopefully get that enjoyment of losing.

He brings most the hate on himself and its that simple. He’s a great talent and nobody denies that.

Denying a robbery doesn't eliminate its existence. Matthysse fans don't whine that he shouldn't fight Garcia because he just fought Lamont Peterson, the way Mayweather fans whine that people will want him to fight Matthysse if he beats Alvarez.

That's the entire point of the sport and it applies to every fighter. Next man up.

the problem is its not next man up when its floyd-its beg for the fight that can best be used to say floyd is ducking blah blah blah.

If someone wanted to discuss floyd v bradley in a unification fight or a fight with the winner of danny/lucas a large segment of NSB wouldn't post other than "floyd is ducking.....". Yet a fight with GGG, 2nd best MW, is a real discussion?

C'mon bojangles at least acknowledge that its about beating floyd-not fighting him.

That's not at all what that poster was saying. That poster was complaining that people will want Mayweather to fight Matthysse next. Um, yeah, of course. It's the best fight he could take.

And I've told you before that I think the number of people that want Floyd to fight middleweights and say he's ducking Golovkin and crap like that is not that many. They are loud, but they are a minority. Would NSB love Mayweather-Golovkin at 154, if GGG could proved he can make the weight? Of course. But it wouldn't actually be considered a duck if Golovkin does the same thing Sergio did, call him out without ever moving down.
