Comments Thread For: Erik Morales: Juan Manuel Marquez in His Best Moment

Former four division world champion Erik Morales admits that Juan Manuel Marquez has finally turned himself into a superstar attraction. For years, since their time in Top Rank a decade ago, the two fighters had heat with each other and the two of them have attacked each other in the press numerous times when discussions to stage a fight between the two of them have fallen apart. Marquez, nearly 40-years-old, will face WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley on October 12th at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.

Morales & JMM Former Gym Partners; JMM Ducked Fighting Morales An Entire Career!

JMM & Morales fought Barrera and Pacquiao multiple times in their prime, but JMM would never fight Morales. AS RECENT as just over a year ago before the last JMM/Pacquiao fight, Marquez was offered Morales in Texas Stadium for a July date, which would have been a massive sellout, and once again, Marquez wouldn't fight Morales. Obviously when they were gym partners years ago, Morales must have gotten the best of Marquez every time in the ring, and it's been kept hush ever since. Two Mexican Legends could have had an ENORMOUS showdown, makes no other sense why they wouldn't have fougth one another. Morales made it known more than once he was always interested in a fight, but Marquez balked each time. Hmmm....Morales a shot fighter now, it wouldn't matter, but Marquez knows inside, Morales had his number... hence their falling out, and no longer in the same camp.
