Very, very true. And if you put up anything close to a decent showing people slob you just for that. Hell, you only have to land one punch and people will forever say, "'So and so' landed on Mayweather and had him hurt, imagine if 'so and so' landed that same punch."

      Either way Canelo wins.

You would love to see Floyd stand toe to toe so Canelo can have an easier fight? How do you sound? Tell Canelo to go stand toe to toe with Ward, Triple G, etc.........

Every fight is different. Size matters and you dont fight guys the same way. Sorry if Floyd isnt dumb enough to fight like you want him to. Its not Floyd's job to make it easier for Canelo to beat him

... Canelo is going to give it all and will push mayweather to another levek we have never seen... He's taking the challenge... Canelo can do it for whatever reason he wants.. All of them will be right & awesome ... What matter here is that those who have asked floyd for a challenge... Even with the 2lb ****.. Is still the biggest challenge since the Corrales fight.. At least for me... This is the fight where I can say.. There's a big chance of this mother f u cker might get decked or something...

Canelo kd trout with a very solid punch that can most probably will land on Mayweather 2... I mean this is no easy task for Floyd ...but I expect him to adjust to any plan Canelo may bring...

In a few years time Canelo will have to fight at Middleweight, don't see him being effective in that division, not when most of his advantages would go in the bin.

Ever since the Hatton fight the only fighter who has come to win and not get a paycheck was Marquez and Cotto. Other than that.....paycheck!!

What kinda goofball comment is that? What, he has to beat all of his brothers conquerors before you think he's legit? GTFOH with that lame crapola.

Floyd says he is all about the money, but deep down its being reconised as the best that drives his ego.
do both of you have a reading comprehension problem? Do you read just one thing without even reading what the guy was responding to?

To the 1st guy, I said that in response to a guy saying he believes Canelo because he said the Trout fight was for his family and honor. I didnt say anything about beating all his brothers foes before being legit. I was clowning the comment. Even Trout said the same thing.

To the 2nd guy, you again must didnt see what I responded to. The guy said he gives Canelo major credit because most guys wouldnt risk fighting the best guy in the sport at that age. I gave him the reasons why everyone in Canelo's position would. Read what someone responded to before you talk

I was talking more in the sense of being a PPV and cross over star. Canelo has a lot of Mexican fans and is gaining a lot of American fans, but Oscar was a movie star, Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise level celebrity in his prime. Canelo isn't anywhere close to that but a win in Sept. would take him there. The biggest Mexican draw being the first to defeat Mayweather? His earnings would go through the roof...

Disagree but obviously I am biased as I am a fan of his. He is a very skilled 23 year old fighter. Even if he moves up he will still have advantages in hand speed and accuracy. He is still learning. He never had an amateur career. He has basically learned the game fighting against professionals. He is far from a finished product skills wise.

I know a lot of you can not wait for Mayweather to take an L. I get that. Some of yawl are pumping Canelo as if he has beaten top contenders. Of his 42 fights, ONE fight has been at 154. The rest, were lightweights and Jr. welterwights. How are yawl saying Floyd cherry picks and he is the catch weight king, when the very guy you are praising made fighters come up two weight classes to fight him? Canelo is suppose to over power those guys! He is twice their size. Who has Canelo fought in his 42 fights that come even close to Mayweather? Austin Trout, who many felt won the fight against Canelo, took his power with no problems. Even when Saul knocked him down, he came back and won that round.

I get most of yawl hate Mayweather and feel he doesn't deserve his success, great. However, name me 5 fighters Canelo has fought in the top 20 pound for pound list. Name me one fight Canelo did not have a size advantage and a weight advantage other than the Trout fight? You guys are saying Canelo will teach Floyd a boxing lesson and that he will knock him out. How? He is flat footed, he can't cut off the ring, he swings wide and he loops his punches. Plus he has decent head movement but not the greatest. Besides power, what else can Saul do to Mayweather? Nothing.

For those arguing about the 152 pound catchweight. For one, Canelo's people originally said that they would fight Mayweather at 150. If Floyd was a **** he would of told him 149. Also, Saul messed himself up when he kept releasing statements saying that he wouldn't fight anywhere below 154 and that whoever was going to fight him they would have to come to 154. First mistake, never dictate terms in the media. You don't do that.

Amazing how most people on this board discredits Mayweather's wins, but applaud Saul for fighting... Josesito Lopez (LOL), Matthew Hatton (HA), Jose Cotto and I can't even name the rest of his opponents because no one has ever heard of them. Remember none of those guys are 154 fighters. While you call Mayweather a cherry picker, go look at Alvarez's resume and ask yourself is he really the guy to beat Mayweather? Styles make fights, but when you are use to fighting no namers and smaller guys with little skill set, it is a different beast when you are fighting someone who has seen all types of styles. Floyd can adjust but can Canelo?
