I'm a boxing fan as well as a Floyd fan and the only legitimate criticism of the opponents he's fought since his lightweight days that can be made is that he probably should have fought Cotto immediately after the Hatton fight. Outside of that, the rest is just fanatical nitpicking that can be torn to shreds by anyone who has legitimately followed the sport and doesn't have an agenda one way or the other.

How many checks has he cashed in recent memory from hyped up fighters, fighters he himself hyped up to make look like they were a challenge. Ortiz didn't deserve a shot but got one, Guerrero didn't deserve a shot but got one...what's the running theme here? GBP..it's almost like he's dissing the same strategy that has earned him well over 100 million in his last few fights. The only legit opponent that wasn't marked up as hype was Cotto.between the DLH and Canelo fights there will be only one fighter who wasn't a product of GBP's farm system..Cotto! Beating Berto has never and will never be enough to make you worthy of a fight against the best fighter at 147...no fking way!! I like Floyd too but lets not act like he hasn't been spoonfed the last few years.
