I don't see why either is being touted as legit opponents for Floyd, there are at least 3 fighters more worthy, Pac, Bradley, JMM. Add to that the possibility of Martinez or GGG at 154, a division in which Floyd calls himself the best, that's 5 guys better ranked to fight Floyd.

Whoever wins at 140 has unfinished business. There's still Alvarado, Rios after he gets hammered in Asia, then possible match ups with the likes of Broner or lower tier 147 pounders in Alexander/Brook/Khan. with a win over one or two of these guys then they can start calling out Floyd.
No way man. Golovkin has never weighed in less than 158 for a pro fight, and Sergio isn't making 154 at this point. He hasn't been there since early 2009, I could see him doing maybe a 157 CW against Cotto or something.

          Marquez....really??? Been there done that.

Bradley....I could see if he beats Marquez, and gets away from Top Rank. It remains to be if the first thing happens and when the second one does.

Pacquiao....that won't happen until Manny is free from Arum in Fall 2015, which is coincidentally Floyd's last fight on the Showtime deal.

Matthysse and Garcia are 100% without question the two best 140 lb fighters in the world. The winner has got be a good fight for Floyd.

It's about damn time the HBO/Showtime golden boy /top rank feuds started paying dividends to the fans.

What an event, top rank and HBO being put on spot here.

What happened when Donaire landed the left hook that everyone claimed would stop Rigo?

Alvarado and Rios isn't fighting Garcia or Matthysse. Not unless Bob Arum dies. Keep in mind that Al Haymon manages them both, and Bob Arum hates Haymon and Golden Boy.

Lucas would have what should be wins over Judah, Alexander, Peterson, and Garcia.

No, you'd probably rather see Floyd fight Middleweights, c'mon man.
Lucas vs Garcis is legit, but those two fighting Mayweather? That's ******ed.

Golovkin would move down to 154, and believe what you want, but don't try and tell me they are technical fighters, 'cause they aint. Golovkin is better than them both, by a wide margin.
