Team Matthysse "Matthysse vs Garcia on sept 14"

I don't think Floyd will be fighting Canelo and Garcia/Mathyse winner back to back.
After Canelo, Floyd will need a softer touch then the next fight can be against Garcia.
Cotto, Guerrero, Canelo then Garcia/Matthyse? Nah, that needs to be spread out.
Champions don't need to face KILLERS every time out. This is the way boxing has always worked.
Look at DLH career for reference.Comment

not speaking about you, just in general, i just don't see the appeal of floyd fighting either. alexander brings no cash in, and no one thinks khan's been tarnished. if either of those fights happen instead of the mathysse/garcia winner, particularly after getting the exposure of this ppv i won't know what to say.Comment

The only other thing that's possible is Floyd fights the Khan/Alexander winner, which would be a legit fight at that point but not better than the winner of this fight. The only reason I would think they'd wait after having this co-headline the PPV is because they want the eventual winner of Lucas-Danny to get a fight at 147 first against Guerrero, Ortiz, Maidana, etc.I don't think Floyd will be fighting Canelo and Garcia/Mathyse winner back to back.

But I mean Floyd's been on a solid run now with Mosley, Ortiz, Cotto, Guerrero, and Canelo. Those are all good or solid wins at the times he fought them.Comment

Alexander just has the young fighter thing going for him and being a 2 weight champion helps his case.
I mean...they worked with Garcia somehow and they were making up stuff.
4 weight 6 title winner... mann... counting interim and stuff like that.
Khan... he works because he has a huge fanbase and in the end it's all about numbers.
Also Khan's style makes it look like he can beat Mayweather tooComment
