Dallas jr is no killer but he was the best available at that time and it took him 1 min to put to sleep like he was suppose to. So what if some fans went gaga off that KO? More fans went gaga off broner Koing guys like Perez

thats the same sentiment natas had about Chavez Jr.in the post I responded to-people over reacting to what he did in the 12th round. i thought it was an over reaction to annoint Lucas after the dalls jr fight. the bromer perez example you cited is the same thing.
thats not hating him dude.

I'm warming up to this kid. If he can get Arum to set up this fight, big thumbs up.
As for the match up itself, I think he should forget 160-bloat-to-180 on fight night because GGG will enter the ring at a natural 170 and force Jr. to wilt in the later rounds. Make the contract at 165 and come to the party at a disciplined 175; this will better his chances.
Style-wise, Chavez can do better against GGG than he did with Martinez, just because the latter moved and boxed elusively pretty much all night. GGG is less mobile, more hittable. Unfortunately nothing is free. GGG is not a pot-shot artist; he has solid offensive fundamentals and uses a well-balanced base and leverage from which to sit down on his punches. I see GGG planting that left hook to Jr.'s long torso early and often. Jr. has a good chin but I see him getting knocked down at least once.
Intriguing fight; good experience for Chavez and best payday/exposure for GGG.

Chavez is a tough hombre. This only means that GGG will take a little longer to break him down. The size difference between GGG and Chavez won't be enough to make a difference in Jrs favor even at 168. I think this would be an awesome fight though because Chavez has a beard and he is willing to trade. It boils down to GGG being the harder puncher and the better boxer. How does Chavez win? Jrs power is good but slightly overrated. He's slow and easy to hit. Toughness can only take you so far. GGG by late TKO or KO.

Christ, people are still harping on about this fight? A fight that happened two years ago and one that Zbik won no more than five rounds in? Sheeeeeeesh.
Junior ruined Zbik, just like he ruined Lee, Martinez and Duddy. This is a man that trains to specifically harm and maim his opponent, and anything less is considered a grand failure.
Golovkin will be smothered, will be backed up, and will be obliterated. He won't have any sort of career after El Dinero de Vaca is through with him.
